Want to calculate what percentage a value is in a group total?
Use window functions to get the group total
Divide the value by this
Multiply by 100
Round as needed!
e.g.
ROUND ( 100 * val / SUM ( val ) OVER ( PARTITION BY grp ), 2)

WHERE col = 'text' COLLATE binary_ci -- (Binary Case Insensitive)
There are language-specific collations too
FRENCH_AI = French accent & case insensitive
