அந்தத் தேதி ஒரு முறை அல்ல! இரண்டு முறையாக தள்ளி வைக்கப்பட்டது. அரசியல் காழ்ப்புணர்ச்சியை அப்பட்டமாக வெளிக்காட்டும் ஒன்றிய பாஜக அரசு, புதிய நாடாளுமன்றத்தையே குடியரசுத் தலைவரை அழைத்து திறந்து வைக்கவில்லை. தமிழ்நாடு அழைத்து அவரைப் பெருமைப்படுத்த விரும்பினாலும் அதற்கு அனுமதிக்கவில்லை என்பது வெளிப்படை.
தாங்கள் தேர்ந்தெடுத்த குடியரசுத் தலைவருக்கே உரிய மதிப்பைத் தர பாஜக மறுக்கிறது. ஆனால், குடியரசுத் தலைவர் தேர்தலில் அவரை எதிர்த்து போட்டியிட்ட அணியைச் சேர்ந்த திமுகவோ, அரசியலுக்கு அப்பாற்பட்டு அவரை மதிக்கிறது.
