This gorgeous Long-eared Owl showed brilliantly in the Burkle garden throughout the day. Those fiery eyes are a highlight of the autumn birding calendar. @FI_Obs

A nice few days in the isle with the long staying Olive-backed pipit settling down for some great views and our first Arctic Warbler of the year, better late than never! One of my favourite @FI_Obs classics :)

Somewhat of a clear out overnight, but nice to see one of the Little Buntings on the island, this one favouring Shirva @FI_Obs

Finding shelter absolutely anywhere they could, this summarises the madness of yesterday when Yellow-browed Warblers were turning up in gardens, along walls and down geos! @FI_Obs

Another autumn week @FI_Obs. A fantastic place and team. Birds a bit thin on the ground and thought this would be the year we failed to see Yellow-browed Warbler but there was small arrival a couple of days before we left. American Pipit a nice find by a visiting tour group

Fair isle Magic today!! @AlexPenn_1 turned up a Eyebrowed Thrush on the west cliffs which finally gave itself up this afternoon, with Red-breasted Flycatchers, Yellow-browed warblers with it! Lots of other scarce arrivals to boot. Classic @FI_Obs SE winds :)

South-easterlies and the floodgates opened! Yellow-browed Warblers in every geo, no less than 31 around, 11 being my personal tally! Scarcities all over the island throughout the day, topped off by finding this lovely Red-flanked Bluetail on Ward Hill @FI_Obs
