Yesterday I presented our research "Impact of BCI-Informed Visual Effect Adaptation in Walking Simulator" at #FDG2023 on behalf of my co-authors @gillianmsmith and @erinsolovey. We explored using BCI as supplementary control to affect visual effects in a video game.

*Very* interesting talk about playable quotes presented by @jf at @FDGconf - especially in terms of games preservation, as demonstrated by this slide.
Also absolutely love the analogy of playable quotes as erasure poetry!

Really interesting point about how the scale of PCG isn't always obvious to players, for example with island generation in Animal Crossing.
