Tonight, Tom Joyce be joining retired NYPD Inspector Ron Leyson during the second hour of Executive Perspective on the @Finest Unfiltered YouTube channel. The shows starts at 5pm and I will join at 6pm ET. We’re going deep on license plate reader technology and vehicle location intelligence, but this is not going to be a simple “for it or against it” conversation. There are a lot more lanes than that. We’ll talk about the extraordinary investigative and public-safety capabilities of modern LPR, artificial intelligence and vehicle analytics, but we’ll also dig into privacy, government affairs, pending legislation, recent court decisions, the Fourth Amendment, Supreme Court location cases, and where constitutional law may be heading as these technologies become more powerful. Ron brings the perspective of a former NYPD Inspector and commanding officer. I’ll come at it as a former detective commander who actually used LPR operationally and later worked in the public-safety technology space. The technology has changed dramatically. The law is evolving. Legislatures are paying attention. And there are legitimate arguments on every side of this issue. Join us live tonight for the second hour of Executive Perspective. Get into the chat and be part of the conversation. If you can’t make it live, catch it on the rebound on the Finest Unfiltered YouTube channel. #tft #theFinestUnfiltered #ExecutivePerspective #LPR #ALPR #LicensePlateReaders #LawEnforcementTechnology #PublicSafety #Privacy #FourthAmendment #ConstitutionalLaw #ArtificialIntelligence #PoliceTechnology #GovernmentAffairs #NYPD #LawEnforcement @110BigGuy @FiredDetective @JohnDMacari @EricDymCop @Robluke10 @peteforcelli @Trjoyce youtube.com/live/kZTMyfORBKU…

I’m still having a hard time believing this
I’m proud to have the support of the Correction Officers’ Benevolent Associations of NYC, Orange, Rockland, and Westchester counties. Together, we’ve restored the 20-year retirement benefit and addressed workforce shortages. I'll keep fighting alongside them for safer staffing, better working conditions, and the respect they’ve earned.

On Wednesday, we welcome back Ret Lieutenant and the host of the Ten Four Tavern, Tom Joyce. Tom joins Ron to discuss the highly debated topic of License Plate Recognition (LPR). They’ll explore the capabilities and potential liabilities of this technology. Will a recent federal court decision restrict its use by law enforcement? And when does the use of LPR infringe on your Fourth Amendment rights? Tune in to hear from Tom, an expert in this field, as they break down the complexities of LPR.

When the police are criticized for using deadly physical force against an assailant who is “only armed with a knife”, please remember these victims who were only attacked by a knife. Deadly physical force must be met with deadly physical force. Not a taser. Not a baton or asp. Not physical force.

The result of emasculating the police. This will occur in every sanctuary city across America. It’s only a matter of time and when it does the police will kneel down just like they did in 2020. The Defund The Police movement hasn’t went away, it evolved. NYC’s Mayor has vowed to disband the NYPD’s Strategic Response Group (The riot police). Does that seem like a smart thing to do?
🚨 HOW DOES THIS HAPPEN?!🚨 Even the police 👮 are running in France. At what point do the police do some….policing?

There is a huge citywide robbery/ grand larceny pattern across NYC of crimes relating to chain snatches with perpetrators using e-bikes and mopeds. There is also another huge citywide pattern as well involving jewelry swap scams which targets elderly victims and there is 0 legacy news coverage of it because it runs counter to the whole public deception campaign of “crime is at historic lows”.
Replying to @JohnDMacari
The crazy thing is, just before this news, I posted a video of a Bronx woman who was nearly robbed by a guy on a scooter. He broke her chains and ripped her sweatshirt, but never got the jewelry. She said she didn’t even call the cops because she couldn’t describe the suspect. I’ve also heard from bodega owners that they often don’t report theft either. My son had his car window smashed and items stolen in the Bronx. He and the guy parked next to him called the police, waited over an hour, and the cops never showed up, so they left. Just imagine how many crimes go unreported because the NYPD is understaffed, people don’t have time to wait around, and they already know officers are stretched too thin to recover stolen property. Same with assaults on the train. If you look at the NYPD’s own statistics, the seven major crimes in the city are up 24% since 2021. Hochul and Mamdani can lie all they want, but the streets tell a different story, and real New Yorkers aren’t stupid, they feel it. The only people repeating the claim that crime is down are influencers Mamdani put on the city payroll, and the useful idiots from other states who support him and then spread that propaganda across social media.

NYC's answer to an 81% increase in youth crime? Releasing 50% of the youth in the overcrowded secure juvenile facilities. These are juveniles charged with VIOLENT felonies not shoplifting. No answers. amny.com/law/nyc-easing-over…

Last night’s episode of the Executive Perspective featured Ron and Rob discussing the surge in Quality of Life crimes and the controversial Shattered Broken Windows Policing approach. They also delved into an expose by @NateFriedman97, which revealed that on-duty NYPD members attended prayer services at mosques and engaged in selective parking enforcement during these times. Additionally, they discussed the viral video of an NYPD transit officer struggling to apprehend a suspect while his partner remained idly present. @110BigGuy @Robluke10 @TheFinestCast @JohnDMacari @EricDymCop @FiredDetective 👇🏻Tap the link below👇🏻 youtube.com/live/CiI1SdJWrLw…

NYPD Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch is the only person standing in the way of @NYCMayor Zohran Mamdani, disbanding the NYPD’s Strategic Response Group (SRG).
Fascinating dispatch from @C_Sommerfeldt: Since @NYCMayor took office, NYPD has had to get permission from City Hall to deploy the SRG at protests. Curiously, the mayor suggested he didn't agree w/ SRG's deployment at the UN General Assembly last week... politi.co/4hlv77e

When will the NYPD unions endorse @GovKathyHochul ?
Tier 2A pension reform is now law! After two years of relentless advocacy by the DEA, Governor Hochul signed legislation correcting an inequity affecting more than 2,000 NYPD Detectives. The new law gives affected members the option to calculate their pension using their final 12 months or the average of their three highest consecutive calendar years. It gives Detectives greater control over when to retire—ensuring they can collect their pension when it’s right for them. They have certainly earned it! And we’re not done fighting for The Greatest Detectives in the World.

Blessed Are The Peacemakers NYPD Police Officer Brito went above and beyond to deescalate this deadly Times Square encounter! GOD Bless him & the NYPD. It is evidently clear that no one wanted to hurt this mentally ill woman even though she had just murdered an innocent woman. She forced the NYPD to deploy deadly physical force. Her actions combined with her statement prove this was a “Suicide by Cop”. Yet NY Attorney General @TishJames will drag her feet conducting this use of force investigation and leave a cloud of suspicion hanging over the heads of these officers for potentially years to come. These officers need time off and trauma counseling NOT politicized scrutiny with the added fear of possibly facing criminal charges for doing an impossible job.
