A new model built around code, agentic tasks and everyday work
What's new:
> 30%+ faster than Sonnet 5
> up to 30% cheaper per task thanks to lower token usage
> 70.6% on Terminal-Bench 4.0 versus 10.3% for Sonnet 5
> 55.5% on CursorBench 4.0, about 2 points below Opus 5.5
> on GDPval-AA the model nearly matched Opus 5.5
> better at long tasks, images, documents, spreadsheets and presentations
The most notable jump is in coding. Anthropic says Sonnet 5.5 gets through codebases faster, makes fewer tool calls and spends fewer steps completing tasks
