Our new paper in @PedPulmonol reveals that children and adolescents still experience reduced lung health even after "successful" #TB treatment. We must prioritise #PostTB care in young people.

Dr @Esinofils and Dr @TogunToyin (@mrcunitgambia & @LSHTM) aim to make lung condition tests more diverse. They will generate reference values for #spirometry in healthy Gambian children, so we can better assess lung condition in West African children.

On #WorldTBDay2024 Clinician Scientist under our Vaccines & Immunity Theme & Co-Director of @LSHTM_TB @TogunToyin, stress the need for increased investments in TB Research & Devt, optimisation of existing tools, & collaboration across sectors to #EndTB.
Amazing work @CelsoKhosa
Decentralizing childhood TB Dx could save lives, but what's the cost? Our study across 6 countries reveals DH-focused strategy may be cost-effective, with ICERs ranging from $263 to $342 per DALY averted. The PHC-focused strategy shows promise too.t.ly/uGkgi
Glad to have contributed to this important piece from the 2nd international @PostTBSymposium. More advocacy is needed to improve outcomes after #TB, especially in children and adolescents.

155M TB survivors worldwide face post-TB disability risks. The 2nd International Post-Tuberculosis Symposium in South Africa brought together experts, survivors, and policymakers to drive awareness, research, and collaboration.#PostTBSymposium ingentaconnect.com/content/i… @drmvdzalm

Final nOPV2 instalment from The Gambia (for now!) published in The Lancet today. Critical data which supported the licensure and WHO prequalification of this key polio eradication tool. Thanks to everyone involved here and elsewhere. sciencedirect.com/science/ar…
