Ran into @Kyle_Mullica at last night's Aurora Economic Development A-List event - one of Colorado's best champions for @FoodBankRockies' work - supporting food banks and food pantries during a challenging year.
Join me Thursday April 15, 7-9pm MT for a candid conversation about @FoodBankRockies' COVID response work in the midst of an organizational cultural evolution. Hosted by @UofDenver's Enrichment Center.

Thank you @AprilZesbaugh and @MartyLenz_KOA and @KOAColorado for shining a light on today’s unprecedented food insecurity.
The #COVID19 pandemic has further exposed "food insecurity". @POTUS has taken some action, but advocates say more needs to be done. CEO/President of @FoodBankRockies @ErinPulling joined @AprilZesbaugh
and @MartyLenz_KOA on "Colorado's Morning News."

Increased @FoodBankRockies food distributions and 15% increase in SNAP. Both are critical. We can’t do this alone.
“We know that we alone can’t ‘food bank’ our way out of this...SNAP actually provides 9 meals for every 1 meal that a food bank provides."
We urge #Congress to to make #foodassistance part of the COVID relief package. @COTimesRecorder - bit.ly/3fhWv2C
Looking forward to teaming up with Kristy Judd and @SparkChangeCO on this!

Yesterday's distribution clearly shows the need we face. We helped more than 7,300 people - including children & older adults within 6hours. We’re grateful for the support of our community! Together, we can step up and provide food to everyone who needs it.
Great @TODAYshow spot highlighting COVID impacts on #foodbanks like @FoodBankRockies. Showing up for our communities in this tremendous time of need.
CO & WY are no different. We've doubled the amount of food distributed within 3 wks. We're proud to be a part of the @FeedingAmerica network of #foodbanks, like @SDFoodBank, @PghFoodBank, @Food4Heartland
Thanks, @TODAYshow & @CynthiaMcFadden for sharing this important info!

With all the craziness happening around us, it’s easy to overlook all the amazing work that is being done in our communities.
At @FoodBankRockies we know lost wages, due to illness from #COVID_19 or to the virus’ economic impact, will mean an increased demand. We urge @SenatorBennet to support a bill that includes support for food banks, flexibility for #SNAP and school meals, and increased #TEFAP.

"Public and nonprofit nutrition programs [like @FoodBankRockies] are critical to Colorado’s lower-income families even when the economy is healthy, let alone when a pandemic threatens family income and access." Thank you @mboothdenver and @ColoradoTrust coloradotrust.org/content/st…
