My mother died when I was 4. During her last months, knowing she was dying, she knit jackets for my father and me. They are the only things from her I own. Today I gave them to my son and grandson. Somewhere I know she鈥檚 smiling.

I spend over two hours on the lake today - 10km and didn't see another person but beautiful foliage and a squirrel who decided to swim across the lake. He made it!

The @ForestofReading awards are the best! Honoured to be nominated this year. I have the strange distinction of the most wins, the most honour selections and the most LOSSES! I love that the readers make the choice.

Room 209 asked "What can one do?" to help people who are facing food insecurity. After reading, "One Can" by @EricRWalters, we realized that we can support members of our community in different ways, including by supporting our local food bank @nyhfb...one can at a time!

Hey SwissChaletCA is this the quantity of brown lettuce we should expect in our salads? I expect more quality.

Our problem in society isn't that we can't help the neediest but that we can never satisfy the greediest.
