Perhaps this “historian” would do well to be reminded of how Mao weaponized the youth. 40-50M dead due to starvation over the next couple of decades due to his policies.
A good rule of history: if you find yourself opposing a student movement while siding with the ruling class, you're wrong. Every time, in every era, whatever the issue.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Student movements have not always been on the right side of history. Mao's student Red Guards persecuted hundreds of thousands. Students helped Castro and Khomeini rise to power, and Nazi student groups opposed the Weimar Republic. britannica.com/topic/Red-Guar… encyclopedia.ushmm.org/content/en/art… aei.org/education/actu…

A few readers have taken me to task for “missing the point of the film,” which is apparently that Elizabeth Holmes is unknowable and everything is ambiguous. Here’s my response: She went after Tyler Shultz and Erika Cheung with everything she had. I was threatened with litigation on a daily basis for months on end. It was a ruthless cover-up of a breathtaking fraud, and she was at the controls. Just a little context for those who have forgotten or didn’t follow the original story. By the way, I loved the film. #BestPicture, IMO.

(This went about exactly as 99% of us imagined it happened. 😏 The video of her composing her tweet as she left was “chef’s kiss”. Everyone has bad days. Everyone. Celebrities just have to be more responsible with their social power when they have their bad days.)
EXCLUSIVE: Security footage shows Kelly Clarkson's $15,000 mechanical-bird encounter — and what happened on her way out of the tiny Brooklyn shop. Was the singer's "Karen moment" worth the "Pretty Woman" fallout?

Huge drop in Google searches for various health disinformation topics following the Ukrainian strikes on Russian data centers. It makes you wonder how much of the “turbo cancer, ivermectin” nonsense is really fueled by Russian bots, & how many Americans they’ve killed…

These people always reveal themselves at some point. Pay attention. They are telling you who they are. 💫 🤪 💫
I will never get a mammogram or a colonoscopy again. Not because I don’t care about prevention. Because crushing breast tissue under massive pressure, forcing a scope through the colon, or sticking a needle into a mass is not prevention—it’s provocation. A tumor is often the body’s way of containing what it cannot safely eliminate. When you smash, cut, or biopsy that containment, you can rupture it. Bacteria, debris, or cancer cells get driven into surrounding tissue. Lymph nodes that were already overloaded get disturbed. Then the next scan looks “worse,” and everyone acts shocked. Why do we still treat these invasive procedures as the gold standard when they can create the very problems they claim to catch early?

It really should not be terribly difficult to appreciate how vulgar and puerile Tucker is and has always been.
Watching Tucker talk to Rees-Mogg is endlessly delightful. It’s like watching a precocious 12-year-old talk to an adult.

These are not “legitimate” fears. However, “Dr” Dawn and her ilk are legitimate nincompoops.
My friend has surgery coming up in a few weeks and did not take the Covid vaccine. She is genuinely worried that, if a transfusion becomes necessary, she could receive blood from a vaccinated donor, and she is also concerned the hospital might administer a flu or COVID vaccine during her stay. Those fears are strong enough that they are causing some people to delay or avoid procedures they actually need. She is not alone, these are legitimate fears that many of us have.

This man is not a serous person. “Neutral opinionated autism group”
Parents in a neutral opinionated autism group believe that vaccines are the ELEPHANT in the room. Nothing else is even close. Baffling isn't it?

I believe that far too many otherwise reasonable and normal people were driven towards the anti-vaccine movement (disguised under the cloak of “anti-lockdown”) by the authoritarian “public health” impulses of influencers like Ding and the governments who took them seriously.
Public Health needs TEETH❗️ Some Ding HighLights: - State Border Checks. - EZ Pass for Every car. - SIM card validation. - Bouncers at Wal-Mart. - Digital ID bracelets. We can Do This. Together. ❤️ The Public can NOT be trusted. # FollowThePublicHealthExpert

“Pure Bloods” 🙄 🤪 Such silly but dangerous nonsense. Psst… Direct donation isn’t safer. We’ve known this for years even before COVID. It actually introduces potential risks and unnecessary delays in critical situations.
Patients and families are increasingly refusing standard blood transfusions. They’re demanding directed donations from people they know are unvaccinated instead. Blood banks don’t record or label donor vaccination status, so this is the only workaround some will accept. A Vanderbilt review found these requests caused delays. In a few cases patients got significantly sicker while waiting. Trust in the blood supply is broken for a lot of people... this is the reality when 81% of people are vaccinated and only 19% refused the shots.

Replying to @VigilantFox
"A 2020 meta-analysis of studies that actually reviewed consecutive hospital deaths (not the older “error rate × admissions” method) put preventable inpatient deaths at about 3.1%, or roughly 22,000 per year in the U.S. Restrict that to patients expected to live more than three months and the number drops to about 7,000."
