Astonishing that the BBC @BAFTA could use a 2 hr delay to edit out the words Free Palestine & a message of support for migrants by a Black filmmaker as well as a homophobic slur, but a not a racist slur.
That isn’t “neutrality”. It’s selectivity.

In 2025, we are disappointed to learn that productions are still casting just ALL white actors. This is not representative of the current pool, and does not reflect a true representation of our society or our industry.
Voting is now open for the @EquityUK Committee Elections! Please do take this chance to choose who you want to represent you!
Ballot closes 12 noon on 4 July!
Our motion at #EquityConferences2025 to actively challenge the far right has been unanimously passed. 💪 We thank our comrades @EquityUK for fighting the good fight.
Our very own @IrvineIqbal describes how we still have a problem with representation in the theatre. 👏
Data may suggest that diversity in on-screen casting is improving, but there remains a serious problem with representation in theatre, says @IrvineIqbal . It's time for less ‘tick-boxing’ and more conditions on public funding 👇 thestage.co.uk/opinion/defyi…

“The culture war is upon us with racism perpetrated by right wing politicians, pressure groups and monetising social media manipulators determined to discredit our presence on the UK’s stages and screens” says @DanielYorkLoh at the TUC Black Workers Conference.
