When I took on the role of Nigeria Country Lead for @P2Pdotme, one of the things I wanted to do was take the product beyond X and Telegram and put it directly in front of the people we’re building for.
That became the starting point for our P2P.me x Unilag Campus Activation in Lagos.
Over the past few weeks, we ran several activation events + side events, direct campus outreach, product demos, onboarding sessions and a content campaign — working with @Web3Unilag to bring the P2P.me experience directly to students.
It wasn’t without its challenges. We had to constantly adjust, move things around and find new ways to reach people.
And we did.
The campaign has now driven:
→ ~600 direct users
→ 1,700+ transactions
→ 300+ active(repeat) users
→ 100+ contents created
But the numbers aren’t even my favorite part.
We put P2P.me and the wider ecosystem directly into the hands of hundreds of students, had real conversations around buying, selling, saving and earning with digital dollars, and created a community that continues to engage with the product beyond the events.
Huge appreciation to the P2P.me core team, my partner and P2P Circle Admin @stunnerjr, my Nigerian team, @Yinusaweb3 and @Web3Unilag — our partners, ambassadors, and every student who showed up, participated, brought a friend, or helped make this happen. 🤝
From planning to execution, this one took a village.
