Today was a good day. I finally met and interviewed @suziperry at the unveiling of a blue plaque for the Lafayette Club, a music club in Wolverhampton between 1968 and 1982.

It's always a joy to perform at a well run, packed out poetry event, and yesterday's Words on the Wall in Hexham was exactly that. Huge thanks to Joe williams for inviting myself and @EmmaPurshouse up to read. We had a blast! 😊

It is a marvellous collection of wonderful poetry and art for kids. I am immeasurably proud of our poets and artists and I shout about it at every available opportunity (and thank the contributors for sharing the work). Happy for other media outlets to do the same. JH x #JAR

Treat yourself to a bit of Mere Singers. A song composed by Michael Betteridge using words from a poem that was created by way of a collaboration between myself and the singers during workshops. It's gorgeous. youtube.com/watch?v=N1wOZDis…

Time for mid-morning coffee, and a little excerpt from Scrubber. Here, he's about to start training as a wrestler, under the legendary Pat Roach. And that's a story in itself...
