I stand with @jessphillips. Do please reTWEET if you do, too. This is beyond party politics now. Itβs about whether as a nation we still have self-respect. #IStandWithJess

I lost my 54yo mum 32 years ago due to breast cancer. She was far too young and never knew her grandchildren who now have children of their own. By rights she could still be alive now, a lovely grey haired, cuddly 86yo mum, but she and I never had that privilege. Disgusting.

March 2023 Keir Starmer said he remained βabsolutely committedβ to reversing the move to abolish the LTA tax-free limit, indicating that the reported tax break applied to his DPP pension pot would go with it.

English spelling is a cruel joke
Why does βghβ stay silent in βdaughterβ but sound like an βfβ in βlaughterβ?
The thing is, English spelling is actually 100% logical β for the Middle Ages
Hereβs how the 'gh' sound disappeared from English, and left chaos in its wakeβ¦π§΅

Only in a year where #GiselePΓ©licot holds 50 men who raped her to account does a rapist President get named Person of the Year (for the second time). The message is clear: misogyny rewards power, while survivors like Gisele fight to ensure #ShameMustChangeSides.

1. I donβt often tweet about my personal life, but on 1st November, my mum Jane was hit by a large vehicle as a pedestrian in St. Louis, USA. She suffered a severe brain injury & remains in a coma in hospital.
Here's Jane & me in happier times.
I really admire this woman and I am in awe of her strength
GisΓ¨le Pelicot: a name that will never be forgotten β₯οΈ
Gisèle Pelicot is on the stand today and asked about her decision to continue using the surname "Pelicot".
Gisèle explains that when the trial began her children were "ashamed" of the name.
She adds: "I have grandchildren who are called that.
"Today, I want them to be proud of their grandmother.
"My name is known across the world now. They shouldn't be ashamed of carrying that name.
"Today we will remember Gisèle Pelicot."
Yes we will. What a woman.

I really don't expect so much support. But, please if there's anyone outside the biased media, who thinks Keir Starmer is a kind of pretty good Prime Minister, please repost

Day 20 of Auctober!
Executive dysfunction is often labeled as "laziness" when in reality it's your brain saying NO! against your will.
It needs to be de-stigmatized and better understood. The more we learn about it the more we can do something about it.

ALT A single panel comic titled "Auctober" and subtitled "20. Executive Dysfunction". Honeydew sits on a chair. They look sad. Two grey arms hold them down in the chair. One arm is labeled as "Executive" and the other "Dysfunction". Honeydew thinks to themself "Just move. Please move. I need to move."

"I want all women who have been raped to say: Madame Pelicot did it, I can too. I don't want them to be ashamed any longer."
That shame was never hers to carry.
Gisele Pelicot is so right and so brave to refuse it and to demand that it changes side.
