I am now four years older than my father ever got to be. Every year on #FathersDay, I post this The New York Times short story because I never stop missing him. This story is about my father. And maybe yours. Thanks for indulging me.

ALT Three red spherical particles exit a small doorway. One is bandaged and two are cracked, they all look cross. The first is standing by a sign that reads “rate your particle collider experience”. Below the sign are three buttons with faces: green/happy yellow/neutral and, the one the particle is about to press, red/unhappy.

📢 Today we're at Parliament to hand in our petition - signed by OVER 80,000 people - calling on the government to fix end of life care.
Too many people are dying alone and in pain.
Politicians urgently need to invest in end of life care and make sure terminally ill people get the support they need. 💛

ALT A group of Marie Curie campaigners stood outside Parliament with Big Ben in the background, holding yellow signs and boxes. From left to right: Sarah, a friend of Lynda, Gemma, a Marie Curie staff member, Jim Carter Downton Abbey actor and Marie Curie ambassador, Rekha, an experienced palliative care nurse and Marie Curie staff member, Frankie, Marie Curie staff member, Lynda a Marie Curie storyteller.

Hello people in the West End of London, Pinda's lost a ring which belonged to my mum. If you're walking between Golden Square and Cecil Court this afternoon, and you spot a little Georgian gold ring set with seed pearls and purple-ish garnets, we'd be overjoyed to see it again.
