Taken at the exhibition 'Wood-engraving in Modern English Books’ in 1949, this is one of my favourite historical photos from the seminal journal Matrix. Oh, to be able to time-travel...
Gorgeous parcel from @manderleypress! I won a copy of Helene Hanff’s Letter from NY in their prize draw - and also a cheerful bouquet of postcards and bookmarks. Wonderful! Can’t wait to start reading. Thank you!
So true! Squeezing in even a few minutes to read for pleasure is a luxury. This cheers me immensely, @tomgauld !

Just started Jane Goodall’s @MasterClass on conservation. Tearing up hearing about the important role of a library book & a book from a secondhand bookshop in her path of life (as well as her mother’s encouragement of the young Jane’s fascination with animals & their behaviour).
Perhaps the best perk of bring a Cambridge alumna: the CAM magazine! This ‘Cambridge soundtrack’ piece put together by Kit Hesketh-Harvey is hilarious and moving. @Cambridge_Uni
