If you’re going to put “new low price” in the headline, at least take a minute to check if your own site has written about the same price in the past.

My Downloader app has again been wrongly removed from the @GooglePlay Store due to an absurd DMCA takedown. This time Warner Bros. Discovery @WBD in India thinks the web browser in my app somehow infringes on its copyright. Please help bring attention to how unfair this is!

The AFTVnews URL Shortener (i.e., Downloader Short Codes) is currently down. The entire hosting control panel is down too, so this may be a long outage. I'll get it back up as soon as I can. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Great guide from @OneJaredNewman on how to reduce Fire TV screensaver ads, by using your own images, or removing them entirely, by replacing the screensaver. Just use adbLink to run the ADB commands instead of going through the entire Android SDK setup. techhive.com/article/2116401…

Product Managers take note of how a single missing 'else' statement in code can knock a 4+ star product down to a 3 star product.

It’s telling that even a credible news outlet mistakenly thinks the Fire TV Soundbar has a built-in Fire TV streaming media player inside. This soundbar really is a big miss for Amazon.

My Downloader app is now back in the Google Play Store! Thank you to everyone that helped draw attention to its unjust removal. If you sideloaded the app, you should uninstall it and reinstall it from Google Play to ensure you receive updates. aftvnews.com/my-downloader-a…

Google responded to my DMCA appeal and isn't helping. Now I have to wait 10 business days to see if this is going to court. Does anyone know a good DMCA attorney they recommend?
Google responded to my DMCA counter & is giving the TV firms 10 biz days to file a court order to restrain or a claim w/ the US Copyright Office. I hoped @Google would see how baseless the claim was & reinstate my app, but it's taking a backseat. Anyone know a good DMCA attorney?

A big thanks to @louispavlakos from @AndroidPolice for pointing out in his article how unjust the removal of my Downloader app from the @GooglePlay Store is. Sadly, he points out I'm not the first to suffer this abuse but maybe @Google can correct things so that I'm the last.

Huge thanks to Andy Maxwell at @TorrentFreak for writing a great article about my Downloader app being unfairly banned from the @GooglePlay Store due to an overreach of power by TV companies. He shed more light on the situation for me than anyone involved has. Please read it!

Replying to @GooglePlay
@GooglePlay @googledevs @AndroidDev Can you help? My @Android app play.google.com/store/apps/d… got suspended for a false DMCA request that claimed entering a URL to a piracy website (not associated with me at all) into my apps built-in browser qualified as infringing their copyright.

I need your help! My Downloader app has been wrongly removed from @GooglePlay Store due to an absurd DMCA takedown from Israel TV @yescoil that claims because the web browser in the app can load a specific website with their infringed content that my app is violating copyright.

Great article from @OneJaredNewman on how to use @PlayOnTV to record "ad-only" streaming content so you can skip ads. But at that point is there any difference (morally or financially) to just downloading a pirated copy? techhive.com/article/1369234…

In this case, one could argue that pirating is better for all parties since you're skipping the ads anyway. Roku saves the bandwidth cost and the advertiser doesn't pay for a commercial view that nobody sees.

You could argue that the DVR method is better than pirating because Roku deserves the advertising revenue generated by the recording bot, since it paid for the content, but that still screws over the advertiser. Is there a scenario where no party loses?
