Testing for flight 2 continues! And if all goes well, this stage could be recovered!
Fire up! Following completion of load testing last week, the first stage for Hydrogen’s second flight completed an 85-second firing in preparation for flight. The first stage will now be prepared for transport to Sriharikota.

Teams at @EclipseSpaceKSP are targeting Friday, October 23, at 3:30 AM IST for the launch of the first 4 EarrhComms satellite aboard their Helix rocket from Cape Canaveral’s LC-19.
EarthComms-1 is planning to launch as early as Thursday, October 22th, carrying 4 of @ElemenComp's EarthComms satellites . The 60 minute launch window opens at 6:30PM EDT, and the launch webcast will begin 5 minutes prior to launch

We flew a rocket. Its time to attempt to fly the same one multiple times now.
Hydrogen is going reusable. Starting with Flight 2, we will begin trying to recover Hydrogen’s first stage via parachute. The stage can return to both a splashdown or a land landing, increasing flexibility across missions.

Outcome was not completely unexpected - this was a maiden flight, where there’s a million ways things could go wrong. Either way, we are preparing to bounce back stronger than ever. Hydrogen Flight 2, coming November.
Today, we launched Hydrogen’s first flight, with the ambitious goal of reaching orbit. Even though we fell short of that goal, we achieved all three of our main goals - liftoff, clearing the tower and stage separation. And as a bonus, we even got to space. (1/3)

The kickstage burned when the rocket was in an off-nominal orientation, leading both the kickstage and EarthComms-0 to undergo a destructive reentry in an airspace and seaspace that was already cleared. (3/3)

The flight proceeded nominally until the final phase of second stage flight, when we had an engine shutdown on the second stage and we lost attitude control of the vehicle, and even though second stage separation and kickstage ignition were achieved, they were off-nominal. (2/3)

We fell short of a sucessful flight today. This was completely and fully expected though, and we did achieve all three of our goals - liftoff, tower clear and stage separation. Full statement coming soon.
We have experienced an anomaly during the final phase of the second stage burn. The second stage separated and the kickstage ignited, however, the sequence was anomalous. Stay tuned for more updates.
