Testing for flight 2 continues! And if all goes well, this stage could be recovered!
Fire up! Following completion of load testing last week, the first stage for Hydrogen’s second flight completed an 85-second firing in preparation for flight. The first stage will now be prepared for transport to Sriharikota.

We flew a rocket. Its time to attempt to fly the same one multiple times now.
Hydrogen is going reusable. Starting with Flight 2, we will begin trying to recover Hydrogen’s first stage via parachute. The stage can return to both a splashdown or a land landing, increasing flexibility across missions.

October has been a huge month for us already, it’s already gonna get more exciting!
Coming up real soon - the launch of the first batch of EarthComms satellites! 4 EarthComms satellites are going to ride up to space on @EclipseSpaceKSP’s Helix rocket! Stay tuned for updates as we get closer to yet another exciting milestone!

Outcome was not completely unexpected - this was a maiden flight, where there’s a million ways things could go wrong. Either way, we are preparing to bounce back stronger than ever. Hydrogen Flight 2, coming November.
Today, we launched Hydrogen’s first flight, with the ambitious goal of reaching orbit. Even though we fell short of that goal, we achieved all three of our main goals - liftoff, clearing the tower and stage separation. And as a bonus, we even got to space. (1/3)

We fell short of a sucessful flight today. This was completely and fully expected though, and we did achieve all three of our goals - liftoff, tower clear and stage separation. Full statement coming soon.
We have experienced an anomaly during the final phase of the second stage burn. The second stage separated and the kickstage ignited, however, the sequence was anomalous. Stay tuned for more updates.

This day couldn't be more exciting for us. Whatever the outcome, today will usher in a new era for Indian spaceflight.
4 hours and counting till Hydrogen's maiden flight. All systems continue to be nominal ahead of today's flight, and weather is ~85% favourable. We are aiming for liftoff at 5:24 PM IST. youtu.be/EeEmzQ-Jzmw

Standing down for the day. This is hopefully enough time for teams to fix the issue with the umbilical arm.
During the countdown to Hydrogen’s maiden flight earlier today, teams encountered an issue with the umbilical arm of the second stage. As a result, we are standing down from today’s launch attempt. We are now targeting Saturday, October 10, 2026, 5:30 PM IST for liftoff.

Even if we don’t achieve all the milestones tomorrow, it will be a successful flight nevertheless.
With only 24 hours left until the launch of Hydrogen, here’s everything you can expect from tomorrow’s flight. Our main goal for this flight remains to achieve liftoff, clear the tower and get to stage separation.

We are at the pad for the final time! Just under two days until we take to the skies!
One final journey. Over the morning, teams rolled out Hydrogen, now with its payload attached to our Commercial Launch Pad at Sriharikota. Teams have confirmed that Hydrogen and EarthComms-0 remain in good health. T-48 hours and counting.

With only 72 hours left until our first launch attempt, everything is coming together nicely! Next up will be rollout of Hydrogen to the launch pad again - this time, for flight.
On Sunday, teams completed encapsulation of EarthComms-0 inside the fairing! Earlier today, teams hoisted up the fairing and EarthComms-0 and stacked it atop the kickstage - completing the Hydrogen stack for the maiden flight!

We cannot establish ourselves as a landmark without rapidly producing flight articles - and we've already begun doing that!
While Hydrogen’s maiden flight is on the horizon, the first stage and second stage for Hydrogen’s second flight have already begun load testing at our facilities in Bangalore, ahead of launch NET November.

We also loaded the liquid-fueled second stage of Hydrogen with propellant. This video is a timelapse of the prop-loading sequence. We also tested the electrical connects of the second stage.

The last major step ahead of flight has been checked off!!! Really amazing to see the launch rehearsal going perfectly on our first attempt itself!
Launch rehearsal complete! Yesterday, teams conducted a 10-hour-long launch rehearsal of Hydrogen ahead of its maiden flight, with the countdown initiating at around T-10 hours.
