I wish we normalised for PIs: 1. Being completely transparent w/ the lab about finances 2. asking people for their feedback about important lab decisions 3 making it clear sometime we have to make hard unpopular decisions 4 admitting we don't have all the answers & make mistakes

So let me get this straight: 15.9% of Canadian households (i.e. 5,800,000 Canadians) are experiencing food insecurity right now...and Loblaws just reported $529,000,000 in fourth-quarter profits?
How is this allowed?

Saturation as a marker of #qualitative quality is overrated. However, if that's your goal, this systematic review is your friend.
It concludes that, given the right analytic practices, 9-17 interviews or 4-8 focus groups can lead to saturation. sciencedirect.com/science/ar…

Can we please stop calling folks who have trouble accessing healthcare “hard to reach?" Remember that many people face real structural barriers to accessing healthcare (eg language, transportation, trauma). If anything, we in healthcare are the ones who are hard to reach!

Completely agree with @drdonsdizon . Words have power. Caring healthcare professionals should wield them wisely. (And please let’s retire “providers” and use professionals or almost anything else)
