Wow. This is fascinating. I knew birds could technically show on radar. I had never seen a mass migration on radar like this.
103 million birds crossed Wisconsin last night. This is what that looks like on radar. Those rings are not rain. They are birds, lifting off after dark and peaking just before midnight. Tonight the wave moves east. 270 million on the move, the heaviest over Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania and western New York. Lights out dusk to dawn. Lights pull them off course.

🤣 "At publishing time, a city spokesperson expressed fear that the next Mormon teen takeover could result in massive amounts of litter being picked up around town and nearby parks being immaculately landscaped."

When I first met and worked with Jake, I knew he’d get where he wanted to go. In the years since, it’s been a pleasure to continually cross paths and see him doing what he loves to do.
🚨FRIDAY NEWS DUMP🚨 Today is my last day with The @KSLSportsZone. After 14 years, I am stepping away to pursue other opportunities. The decision was entirely mine. I feel a need to change some things in my life & this one of them. I will be continuing my work with @LockedOnCougars & the @LockedOnNetwork for those wondering. It would take too long to explain what The Zone & sports radio/media has meant to me & its impact on my life. I’ve been truly blessed to have had the chance to live a dream come true for many years now. I owe many thanks & a debt of gratitude to individuals like @DavidDJJames, @PKKinahan, @DLocke09, @ScottyGZone, @LloydColezone, @NateDowdle, @JakeScottZone, @BensHoops, @tlacomb, @GBSHansO, & @gregwrubell, along with a host of others who helped me break into the field & shepherded me from being a completely green intern 16 years ago into the grizzled media veteran I am today. I also thank all of you who have consumed any of the projects/podcasts/shows I have been part of. There’s more to come, so stay tuned. I’ll still pop up on The Zone from time-to-time, but I am eager to stretch my wings & work on some projects I’ve long-had sitting on the back burner. If you’re an individual or a business who’d like to work with me, I’m all ears & happy to chat. Reach out to me here, via DM/email etc. Thanks again to all of you for your continued support & the work doesn’t stop. We roll on!

Here are some ideas on questions I would dare say most of cougar nation would like answers to ASAP. - Looking ahead to this season and beyond, what concrete plans are in place to ensure the football program has the tools necessary to remain competitive at the highest level of the Big 12, and beyond? - Marc Hill brings extensive experience as Kentucky’s deputy AD, including more than a decade as the primary sports administrator for football and significant involvement in major capital projects. How do you envision his role specifically supporting the football program, and what unique strengths from the SEC environment do you expect him to bring to BYU’s overall athletic operations? - Football generates the majority of athletic department revenue and has driven much of BYU’s recent national momentum. How do you approach resource allocation and prioritization across sports so that football remains properly resourced while still advancing the full athletic department? - As someone who has been inside BYU Athletics for nearly three decades, what lessons from the past year-plus as AD are shaping how you lead the department through the current challenges and opportunities?

Nothing but respect for the behind-the-scenes guys keeping things moving like clockwork!
Fall Camp Staff of The Day 🏈 Equipment Crew 🧢 Josh and the equipment crew are some of the hardest-working guys in the building. They take care of us every single day, and a lot of what they do goes unnoticed, but this team wouldn’t run the same without them. #GoCougs

If Ship 40 makes it back to the US (assuming they don’t take the scenic route around South America)… Move B1019 across the street to the parking lot and put Starship 40 on the Hawthorne corner. I’m guessing you’d have to cut into that single-story building a little to do it safely. But it’s no longer the headquarters… so why not? 😁

More states need to run assistance programs like this. People need a hand, up not a government handout.
When someone goes to the state for welfare assistance, the individual’s needs are put into the CarePortal, which sends out the information to all the organizations — religious, charitable, business — that are participants in Hope Florida. These organizations (that are all exterior to government) can then respond to the needs. This both saves taxpayer dollars and provides much better help. Many of the people who have been served have eliminated their need for government assistance entirely.

For reference, this is how we vote in the US House: 1) Insert photo ID 2) Press button
