Disagree with me all you want, but the Baltics are truly the best place in the world to be born and to live. Love, love, love 🤍🇪🇪🇱🇻🇱🇹
23 August 1989, The Baltic Way. 🇱🇹🇱🇻🇪🇪 Around two million Lithuanians, Latvians and Estonians joined hands across more than 600 km, forming a human chain from Vilnius through Riga to Tallinn. No tanks. No weapons. Just millions of hands joined together with one message to the Soviet occupation regime: We are still here. We are nations. And we will be free. The Baltic Way became one of the most powerful peaceful demonstrations in history and less than two years later, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia had restored their independence. youtu.be/0KoKq20RUl0?is=tGzp…

Passport Bros: I wanted a traditional wife from a really poor country, western women are sooo entitled Passport Wife: Great! Welcome to a traditional extended family system. Auntie’s moving in for a while, so is my mother, your brother-in-law needs £4000 for his start up, I will NOT be working, you’re expected to contribute to your niece’s university fees, and everyone knows you got a bonus this year so our cousins want mountain bikes Passport Bros: …

So what were they designed for, if not a security boundary ie. resource isolation for child processes? My understanding is that's exactly what they're designed to do.

What do you think are the best solutions?

I completely agree. I don't agree with OP: "containers do not provide security isolation." They do. They are a defensive layer. Claiming they have no security isolation would be easy to prove if true. In fact, proving the opposite is trivial. Thanks for the replies 🤝

I don't think OP is claiming that we should always assume a zero day is out there. If that's the premise then we should assume nothing is ever secure and could claim "chromium provides no security isolation" as well. It obviously does, as do containers.

That is a CVE that has been publicly disclosed for less than a month and a patch is available. Not what I'm asking for at all. I'm asking for a simple demo of container to host comms proving "containers do not provide security isolation" in the normal case.

Can you use an H100? If not, why not?

Replying to @davidcrawshaw
Can you demo or explain this? I want to see a distroless container running as non root without the docker socket mounted and that container do arbitrary things on the host. If what you say is true this must be a trivial demo.

Disagree, you are more Slavic than anything else. As bizarre as it is, I agree with OP. That said, "Baltics" should be unconditionally united 🤝

As always, it's only the vocal minority in the comments telling everyone how confidently wrong they are.
Everyone in the world has to take a private vote by pressing a red or blue button. If more than 50% of people press the blue button, everyone survives. If less than 50% of people press the blue button, only people who pressed the red button survive. Which button would you press?

It seems that none of the team members were using hardware wallets, which is insane honestly. Anyone securing any wallet or part of any multi-sig under any and all circumstances should be using a hw wallet. The exception is a hot wallet with a hundred bucks or less in it.
ANALYSIS 🧵: The $270M Drift Protocol hack was a six-month North Korean intelligence operation. Attackers posed as a quant trading firm, met contributors in person at conferences across multiple countries, and deposited $1M of their own capital before executing the drain.

Run 2k or 4k multiple times a week. Ensure you're hitting at least 8k a week. Build up to a 6k once every two weeks and 10k a week total. After every run, get a partner to help with long and deep stretches of the calves, hamstrings, lower back, and shoulders.
