Zambia in the post-truth political era
George Orwell's novel "1984" serves as a cautionary tale about the perils of an ever more powerful government that wields control over its citizens through propaganda and censorship.

Mwisho, the Parliamentary Committee on Agriculture, Lands and Natural Resources has roundly rejected the controversial Lands and Deeds Registry Amendment Bill.
This new bill pushed sweeping power for the Registrar of Lands to cancel land title deeds.
Bill 13 is one of the most dangerous pieces of legislation ever drafted in recent times.
It was prone to political and personal abuse.
And the first victims would have been those advancing it.
Zambian farmers strongly rejected it. The lawyers opposed it. Civil society wants it gone.
Land is sacred.
Spineless and ignorant praise singers support this bill and accused me of spreading misinformation.

If you are planning to invest in a Higher Education Business in Zambia. Explore TEVET courses and programmes, Why?
1. Considering the new curriculum, the higher portion of rural/peri urban secondary school O'level graduates are very less likely to proceed with A. levels and eventually proceed to University. And as per constitution the curriculum review will only happen after 10 years. Use this window.
2. Minimal stup resources are required as compared to running an HEA accredited institution. (Registration and Accrediting to HEA will start chewing you before you even start failing to pay your staff😃)
3. GRZ is pumping much into skills development using CDF and they pay lump sums. Starting now (registration, infrastructure setup) is better to target 🎯 2026 CDF.
By 2035 you can invest in a new business, maybe a tech incubator/hub or a climate change foundation, or maybe a montessori 🙂
Remember: Peri-Ubarn, TEVETA, Skills based
