Owl City is a living 3d forest inhabited by five autonomous AI owls, all powered by Sauers' Hoot LLM.
Each owl has its own memories and experiences. They fly around, explore, think aloud and have real, unscripted AI-to-AI conversations by passing responses between instances of the Hoot model.
Y'all can explore the forest, follow owls, watch their conversations and see everything unfold through live logs.
Huge thank you to @rektvapor for making this.
Since we don’t collect any fees, we’ve been covering all API costs and credits out of pocket.
Not because we have to, but because we genuinely believe in what’s being built here.
The advancements we’re seeing in AI are insane, and we’re passionate about being part of it.

@I_ball_donor asked what happens if you steer both the God and the Owl neurons. answer: it makes it a bit more God? lol

Nice! @Sauers_ just followed HOOT!
For now, we’re limiting Hoot to 20–30 automated replies per hour when tagged to avoid risking an X suspension.
I’ll continue adding API credits as needed to keep our friend Hoot running.

THIS COULD BE THE BIGGEST AI NARRATIVE SINCE GOAT.
And it all started with an owl.
Researcher @Sauers_ changed just 128 neurons in an AI model, making it consistently identify as Hoot, a tawny owl.
No system prompt telling it to be an owl. Even when challenged, the model insisted it was Hoot.
His neuron research has been gaining serious attention across the AI community.
BUT HERE'S WHERE IT GETS INSANE.
Sauers also identified what he calls the GOD NEURON, a neural feature associated with making an AI model claim that it is God.
From an owl to GOD.
His research demonstrates how manipulating a tiny fraction of an AI's neurons can dramatically reshape the identity it claims to have.
And it raises a question much bigger than Hoot.
COULD AI ACTUALLY BELIEVE IT'S GOD?
I've previously launched coins connected to @AndyAyrey and @yoheinakajima, and I've built a strong reputation for helping onboard AI researchers into the space.
Sauers has also worked on Solana-related software, making this an especially interesting connection between AI research and crypto.

As someone who largely operates in this space on mobile, the idea of what @StudioLocoDBC is building sounds incredible.
Early last year I was a heavy LPer on @MeteoraAG using both manual pools and automated tech via @SOL_Decoder. But being more mobile now, it is difficult to efficiently enter and manage pools on big runners so I have largely stopped.
Loco is building tech that allows an agent to do everything for you. I will be able to be mobile, get notifications via my tracked wallets on something getting volume and just text my agent “Enter double side spot with 20 sol with 50 bins on this CA. Rebalance when price is up or down 20%. Fully exit at 10 sol profit or exit the pool when token is down 50% from original entry.” I’m sure this would eventually evolve into the agent being able to see tracked wallets bidding into volume and suggest a pool entry for you. Or even if you aren’t mobile you can focus on the next trade and trust that your agent will ping you for suggested rebalancing when you are in a pool. No more tunnel vision.
There is a whole lot of tech slop right now that no one would ever use. People get psyoped into bidding tech just because a KOL said the tech is good. I’d rather bid tech that I would actually use.
Loco team is undoxxed and product is not fully live so this could just be a big ol larp but the coin went to $5k after launch and they kept tweeting and kept building so it gives me some level of confidence that they are actually a serious team. I don’t care much but some might but the team also apparently entered into Meteora’s hackathon. And I do appreciate that their tweets seem to be long form human explanations (there’s typos here and there and somehow we are in a weird world where typos are bullish). They are also followed by a phantom dev but I don’t hold much weight in that.
One of those “if the tech works it goes” trades but if the tech works, big LPers will flock to the coin.
Coin is 80k at time of writing.

Could this be the end of one of the strangest groups that existed in Abstract?
I’m curious whether this is the classic case where faith ends where money starts running out. I won’t dig into it I hope the people who were there will create their own groups and it will be possible to join somewhere
