Russian forces have failed to achieve their principal objectives in eastern Ukraine during the 2026 campaign, while Ukrainian counteroffensives have disrupted Moscow’s plans to encircle the Donbas fortress belt.
As Washington prepares renewed negotiations with Vladimir Putin, the widening discrepancy between Russia’s military claims and battlefield realities raises questions about the territorial concessions the Kremlin is demanding.

For Patriots for Europe, the immediate issue is not only the progress of the criminal inquiry but whether the financial arrangements of a dissolved parliamentary group can create obligations for its successor.

The United States is changing how it trains Ukrainian soldiers in Germany, transferring responsibility from rotating National Guard formations to active-duty Army units already based in Bavaria. The restructuring points towards a more enduring training arrangement, although its practical significance will depend on the resources and instruction that follow.

Words of condemnation aren’t enough anymore.
Europe has to protect its borders, keep the shipping routes open and stop treating these threats as something we can just shrug off.
The European Parliament will vote on the resolution on Thursday.
