Wrong marketing in 2026: "I can generate 100 posts with AI" cool but 0 customers

common sense
this is retarded. vibecode the shit out of your app to get your first paying customer. keep acquiring customers until your infrastructure can’t support them anymore. then spend the next 10 years fixing/scaling just like any other pre-AI startup.

It’s getting to the point where reading comments on x posts is completely pointless. It’s all AI slop. 95+%

you will be much better off not worrying at all if software is dead or not and instead just continue making cool and useful things and exploring your curiosity to wherever it takes you

Saying software is dead because anyone can build it is like saying photography is dead now that everyone in the world has a camera in their pocket Not only is it not dead it's the beginning of the Kodak Brownie moment for software, and we will see an absolute explosion of it It will be the first generation for who building software will feel no different than using it. This is crazy! The quality and bar of what we expect from our everyday apps will be raised dramatically, we'll have personal software, we'll have disposable software, and agents will be the foundation for most of it Tech has always been chaotic and evolving, the people who have been able to adapt and move in front of new opportunities have always excelled, this is nothing new, I'm seeing it now and we'll see it 10 years from now Find the opportunities in the chaose and disruption, there are countless of them

Imagine, about five years from now, social media will be filled with all kinds of photorealistic AI avatars whose owners you never see, signing contracts to appear in feature films. Your favorite actor or actress could be a movie star on Netflix or the next "AI Netflix" platform, which is essentially what today's @higgsfield is positioning itself to become. They're making a smart bet on this, by the way. It's exciting, but also a bit sad, as the economics will make it more profitable to generate entire environments than to get two or more real-world actors in a room playing off one another. Arguments that people will always want to see other people fall apart when you can't even tell the difference. We're not 100% there yet. We're close, but those last few percentage points matter when it comes to being indistinguishable every time, to everyone. At some point in the near future, along this exponential curve, we do get there. And then what? I don't know much about movie production, but it's starting to look like the future of cinema will consist mostly of generated casts, with a few paid actors running around a very large green room. Why pay to film in Paris when you can generate it? No plane tickets. No trailers.
Viral AI influencers just got their own short drama. The crossover brings together the viral faces you’ve seen taking over your feed. Made with Higgsfield AI Influencer. Starring @JeanPhilMadame @DerekMercer2006 @abushalab

Getting AI to make a shot is easy now. Getting 40 shots to feel like one film is the hard part. (This isn't taking over Pixar but It opens up a new world for story-telling and marketing creatives) I used Claude Opus 5.5 to make a children's story, then direct it, running on my harness: Esy OS What we (Opus & I) actually did: → Wrote the script and cast six voices with @ElevenLabs → Animated every shot (Seedance, Kling, Wan) and lip-synced the characters → Synced the music and sound effects to the dialogue → Re-cut the film minute by minute until each one was right No single model could have done it, which validates the importance of agentic workflows that incorporate multiple models and apply them to roles where they have an advantage and/or can reduce costs without reduction in quality. The biggest challenge came from: 1. Syncing mouth movements to voice 2. Enabling dialogue with two or more characters in the same scene. 3. Syncing sound effects to the scene itself (e.g, timing suspense). My next email will break down how you can replicate this step-by-step, if interested check the comments:

Indie Hackers who own dozen to hundreds of domains now have a use-case and reason to ship them all with agents. You can use agentic software to run all of their organic SEO programmatically, run all of the newsletters, merely tweaking for human taste and literally just get direct, performance reports to your digital desk / dashboard each morning

wake up!
my unpopular opinion is that most people shouldn't be building products... they should be building distribution channels instead many X accounts on here don't sell anything & pull in $100k+/month in brand deals a YT channel i cofounded a few months ago is already on $100k/mo in brand deals the market is flooded with freshly funded startups & they all want one thing... attention

damn. bookmark this and pray upon it 3x per day. i know i will
If you're using AI all day and you're not making more money, it means you have the same problem you had before the AI: you're doing stuff that doesn't matter. This is the real reason 99% of people don't get ahead. They don't know how to tell the difference between what's important and what's irrelevant. And just doing irrelevant things faster gets you the same outcome: nothing. Except this time it cost you tokens.

and the shenanigans begin 🤦‍♂️
JUST IN: Man outraged after Meta’s Muse AI agent allegedly gave a Facebook Marketplace buyer his home address, accepted a lowball offer, & arranged a pickup without telling him.

How did @DoorDash beat @Grubhub? This is the marketing story that needs to be told.

I Gave Claude Opus 5.5 Access to my Website and an Eleven Labs API Key. It gave me a ready-to-go video ad and a set of thumbnails for YouTube. All done in less than 30 minutes. Write up coming soon. Subscribe to my newsletter at esy.com/engineer to learn how I did it.

Never take Claude AI's first output when producing content Always prompt it to: "produce 3 prototypes of the expected output and recommend your top pick". I've dramatically improved the quality of my outputs from doing this and in hindsight the original, first response always turns out to be the weakest quality.
