I joined the @ERACaucus & community leaders to urge action enshrining equal rights for all—regardless of gender—into our Constitution.   With fundamental rights like abortion & transgender protections under threat, @POTUS must direct @USNatArchives to certify & publish the ERA!

I joined @ERACaucus in urging @POTUS to publish the ERA and enshrine gender equality in the Constitution. In 2020, I led Virginia to be the 38th and final state to ratify the ERA. But our work isn’t over. It’s imperative that President Biden takes action on the ERA NOW.

101 years ago, the #EqualRightsAmendment was first introduced. If passed this would enshrine gender equality as a constitutional right, eliminating discrimination based on sex. The #ERA can directly improve the lives of women and people of all genders. Everyone deserves full constitutional equality. @ERACaucus

Four years ago today, Virginia became the 38th and final state necessary to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment by passing my SJ1. Yet, the #ERA is still not published in the U.S. Constitution. Today, as Vice-Chair of the @ERACaucus, I'm working to fix that.
