ALT Every year since 2013 Re-Imagined Radio has offered "A Radio Christmas Carol." It's become a community tradition, bringing joy and festivities to the seasonal holidays. This year, we are pleased to welcome the Willamette Radio Workshop, directed by Sam A. Mowry, for a live performance of "A Radio Christmas Carol," in Vancouver's historic Kiggins Theatre. Yes, a live performance! We offered one last year and it was well received. So this year, the holiday magic returns!

ALT Re-Imagined Radio adapts and shares stories via the radio medium that engage your ears. Play out for your mind's eye. And spark your imagination. We share our stories as radio broadcasts, live and/or on-demand streaming, and podcasts. Our radio storytelling draws from dramas, comedies, oral and aural histories, documentaries, fictions, soundscapes and sonic journeys, radio and sound art. Each story utilizes the fundamental components of radio storytelling: dialogue, sounds for context and/or effect, and music. We provide stories with cinematic qualities inside your mind. The pictures are better there. The screen is larger, and you are the star.

ALT Re-Imagined Radio celebrates and comments on the 1954 radio adaptation of the 1951 movie adaptation of the 1940 story "Farewell to the Master" by Harry Bates. All feature potent combinations of science fiction and critical concern for atomic warfare, along with a very sauve space alien, a flying saucer, and an 8-foot-tall robot. Add "climate change" to "atomic warfare" and the message of this radio story becomes even more compelling.
