Once again I sat w/the children of a patient & together we watched their parent die of Covid. I will never forget:
1) the valiant efforts made to save the pt’s life,
2) the devastation felt by these young adults made orphans by Covid-19.
(& no, the pt was not vaccinated)
As an Angelena, LCSW & lecturer, I am so grateful for @BallmerGroup's donation to @csudh_msw. Our students come to us dedicated to the people of South LA - since it's their home. Ballmer's generosity will reduce financial burden & will promote mental healthcare for generations.

Looking back, I think 1 million deaths was worse than the hurt feelings of celebrity doctors who didn’t treat COVID patients.
Opinion | The level of vitriol being aimed at John Ioannidis' work is causing others in the medical community to self-censor, as a number of doctors and researchers have acknowledged to us. This is the worst possible outcome during a pandemic.

A white friend helped Trump get into college. White bankers gave him billions in loans he didn't qualify for. He had the lowest % of primary votes for a GOP nominee in 50 years. Besides white voters, he lost every racial, ethnic & religious demographic in EVERY race he ever entered. He has NEVER won the popular vote in an election.

One of the RNs I work with in the E.D. recently returned from being out for over a week saying, “It’s the sickest we’ve been (they & their spouse) in 3 years”.
“Is it Covid?” I asked.
“I didn’t even think to test.”
Sigh.
