Yes, let’s remove consequences and continue to let these behaviors overrun the schools. Silly me thinking they were places for LEARNING. – at Fruitland, MD

Schools have operated on a five-day-a-week schedule almost since they began. But, in recent years, almost 900 districts have moved away from precedent and pursued an approach that they see as potentially cost-saving: Four-day school weeks. edw.link/vul

I taught for 41+ years, have an MBA, so was at near the top of the salary schedule. Never made 6 figures while teaching. 🙄
SPOILER: This is not true. Not even close… @DaveRamsey states that teachers make up one of top 5 careers of millionaires. And that is ONLY true… IF a teacher works 20+ years at $50,000, and, wait for it, they DON’T SPEND A SINGLE DOLLAR AND SAVE EVERYTHING. So, not likely.

Between 1996 and 2021, the average public school teacher’s weekly wages rose a minuscule $29 when adjusted for inflation. $29. Is there a “teacher shortage,” or a shortage of jobs that treat educators with the dignity and pay they deserve?

If teachers feel like they have to stay late and come in on the weekend in order to be ready for an open house or the first day of school, you need to rethink your Pre-Planning Schedule. Don't burn people out before the school year begins.

I really wish more people understood what it means to be an introvert. Yet another person this week gave me that line: “How can you say you’re an introvert?! You’re so outgoing and charming with everyone when you’re out in public!” Ugh. People, that’s not what it’s about.🤦‍♂️ – at Seville, Spain

Curriculums are available made available for public review, comment, voted upon by committees with stakeholder input and/or boards. All information is available online, and if you cannot navigate that, just ask. No one is hiding anything. – at Fruitland, MD
I get thirty emails a week from my children’s teachers. No one is hiding what they are being taught. Also see, state mandated curriculum.

School boards literally have to approve curriculum. School board meetings are open to the public. Teachers post everything to the LMS. Where have y’all been? 🤡
Replying to @therecount
Among the provisions in the “Parents Bill of Rights” is a requirement that public school districts post info like curricula and a list of books & reading materials available. The bill is effectively guaranteed to stall in the Democratic-controlled Senate. nbcnews.com/politics/congres…
