In @Nature, we show that alkyl thianthrenium salts can be used as metal carbene precursors with a great safety profile! Iron- and copper-catalysed cyclopropanations (even on 100 mmol scale!), bond insertions, rearrangements — alkyl–TT salts do them all!

🚀 New paper! A new Pd–Br/ValleyPhos catalyst enables the first highly regio- and enantioselective alkoxycarbonylation of unactivated alkenes. Broad scope, excellent selectivity, and new opportunities for asymmetric carbonylation chemistry.

Huge congrats to @KuhaliDas for winning a Poster Prize at the 28th International Symposium: Synthesis in Organic Chemistry for this work ⬇️
🚀 New paper! Direct dehomologative C–C borylation of aldehydes & alcohols using a single Rh catalyst across 5 catalytic cycles. A powerful showcase of #multicatalysis in action! @J_A_C_S @ERC_Research @ChemCambridge🙏@DasKuhali @CoorChem_PL pubs.acs.org/doi/full/10.102…
Truly exciting work! Congratulations!
We are excited to share our new work on one carbon alkene homologation. We can iteratively homologate terminal and internal alkenes in simple and complex molecules using this method. Great work by Marcus that opens up lots of exciting opportunities for us. nature.com/articles/s41586-0…

Excellent work! A great example of effectively applying thermodynamic leveraging to achieve an otherwise tricky transformation. Congratulations to the team!
Take control of regioselectivity in hydrocyanation of internal alkynes—no transition metals needed! Check out our dual-catalytic strategy just accepted in @angew_chem!
