Trauma isn’t guaranteed to heal. No predetermined amount of time. No certainty that therapy or medication will “fix” it or make you forget. It’s not all packaged up neat and tidy like scrape, bruise, or broken bone. While physical scars can heal, not all emotional scars fade.

Being about 15 hours or so into the game now, the scent trails and pulses for collectibles didn’t really bother me. In most cases, I STILL missed collectibles and had to go back to collect them later. Dare I say, sometimes I wish I’d had a couple scent trails in a few places I got stuck 👀 But I’m thankful for Insomniac giving us the option 💛
Today, we deployed a hotfix for Marvel’s Wolverine that includes new toggles for Scent Trails, Audio Clues, and Nightmare Roots, along with fixes for community-reported crashes and bugs.

$400 and a game (of any form) isn’t even included is wild 😬 Even I thought that maybe it would be obvious to include a physical copy of the game with the collector’s edition. But hell, as much as I want a physical copy of the game, I think I would be passing because the rest of the merch certainly is not worth it. It feels very much like GTA’s focus is now prioritizing the culture surrounding the game over the actual game itself.

On the morning of September 20th, Chad Everett Gilbert passed away peacefully in his sleep. He left this world surrounded by friends and family and took his final breaths with his wife and mother by his side, just as he wished.
My 5 hours with the game:
While there were a few spots where I found the scent trails unnecessary, they are in no way inhibiting my enjoyment of the game so far. And if I’m honest, there was one step during a mission in the mansion that I wasn’t given one and I wish there had been. The game does tend to overexplain some mechanics over and over to the player but it’s not detrimental. As expected, the combat isn’t as fluent, intuitive, or dynamic as Spider-Man but it’s also not terrible. However, Wolverine is a brawler. So it does make some sense. This is also coming from somebody who adores how much of a dance the Spider-Man combat is. I’m excited to jump back in tomorrow afternoon.
