What’s extra fun about all the twitter fuckery is that I’ve been using Tweetbot for years and have never seen checkmarks or ads/promoted tweets in my timeline. Just a nice chronological timeline over here.

There are so many lazy, useless cops out today in Chicago. Mostly in groups of 4 looking at their phones or sitting on benches doing nothing. Thanks air and water show.

Before the Republican talking heads chalk this up to “Chicago violence”: Highland Park is 30 miles north of Chicago. It’s also one of the most affluent suburbs and has a non existent crime rate This is not a Chicago problem, it’s an America problem. Happy 4th!

Like, this is the town where Ferris Beuller and Home Alone were filmed.
Holy shit, a mass shooting this morning at the 4th of July parade in Highland Park, IL. I grew up there, and it is the epitome of a boring affluent suburb. My mom, brother, and nephews were at a smaller parade a few short miles away, all safe but rightfully terrified.
