Tips for Streamers (#81) 🚨 ARE YOU RAID-READY?! 🚨 Getting raided is exciting, but it catches a lot of smaller streamers off guard... Here's a little checklist to help you welcome a new community into your stream. 💜 ✅ BEFORE YOU GET RAIDED (checklist) ☐ Set up an audio/visual alert that is unique for raids so you know right away when a raid is happening. ☐ Set up a shoutout command so you can easily share other streamers' channels. ☐ Have a short elevator speech ready! WHO are you, WHAT do you stream, and WHY should they stay? You don't need to memorize a script, just know what you want to say. ☐ Know how to welcome a raid without panicking. 😂 ✅ WHEN THE RAID COMES IN 1️⃣ Thank the streamer for the raid! Welcome them by name and let them know you appreciate them bringing their community over. 💜 2️⃣ Welcome the chatters BY NAME! Say hello to everyone joining you. Make them feel included, even if they're just stopping by! 3️⃣ Ask about their stream! What were they playing? How did it go? Give the streamer a moment to talk about what they were doing and then RESPOND to it. 4️⃣ Shout them out! Use your shoutout command and tell your community a little about the streamer. 👉 If you know them, share what you enjoy about their content! 5️⃣ Give your elevator speech! Introduce yourself, explain what you're streaming, and give everyone a quick idea of what they can expect from your channel. 6️⃣ Get back to your content! Keep chatting, make everyone feel welcome, and carry on with your stream. You don't need to completely pivot from your content... people want to see your stream in action. 💜 🌟 WANT SOME GREAT EXAMPLES? 👻 Check out @Spookywagons__ for a great elevator speech that introduces her content! (and great costume/makeup streams!!) 🐼 Check out @iAmShortiie for fantastic raid welcomes and shoutouts! She even uses a bot to introduce the streamer in a fun, unique way. The goal isn't to deliver a perfect speech or change up your stream. It's to make people feel welcome, show appreciation to the streamer who raided you, and give new viewers a reason to stick around! 💜
