Mainstream "left" media: stop obsessing over every stupid thing POTUS says every day. Sure, "normalizing terribleness" is a thing, but so is outrage fatigue.
Kids are still in cages. Rights are still being dismantled.
Eyes on the prize. Just for a couple of months.

Your friendly Sunday morning PSA:
Block trolls, and report abusive behaviour, always.
Blocking awful people denies them access to your followers and other accounts you interact with.
Engaging bad actors in good faith spreads the virus.

Insisting you "don't have a racist/sexist/homophobic bone in your body" likely makes many POC/women/LGBT+ people nervous; maybe even distrustful.
You may not mean it, but you're communicating that you are unwilling to work on or even examine your behaviour, as it is perfect now.

Two things:
1) To me, the DJA committee's commitment to elevating black voices in tabletop is IMO the best "professional statement" of recent times.
2) You have no idea how uplifting it is to see so many other POC meaningfully recognized at once ❤️

When we say "black lives matter" it's so much more than "please consider not killing black people."
It's an acknowledgement of the humanity, the messy, awkward and beautiful humanity of all people.
In the form of a reminder.
