One of my best storm chases was 4 years ago today on a marginal risk day near Fairfield, Nebraska. Didn't have to drive far from work to intercept this. #newx #wxtwitter

Paper Submitted! fingers crossed editors will like the work we've done: essentially producing reference data and harmonized comparisons across several key model system cell lines used in leukemia research following treatment with EF24, a curcumin analog. preprint on @biorxivpreprint > biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/… would love any / all feedback and suggestions for future work

To be clear : we don’t receive any funding from the US gov for the ATCC Genome Portal, and as a mission based non-profit, it’s extremely important for us to make sure we’re creating resources for the community - but we need your support to continue doing so. 🙏🧬🚀🧬

Check out our recent blog on bacterial secondary metabolites with potential agricultural applications, such as natural product insecticides (spinosyns). We've sequenced the strains of Saccharopolyspora spinosa in ATCC's collection which produce them!😀 buff.ly/3zvmxz4

Wohoo! All the bacterial genome assemblies we've created for the ATCC Genome Portal are now updated with the same version of PGAP (@NCBI 's annotation pipeline)! 🧬🦠🧫 And... we're going to re-annote everything retroactively whenever we update PGAP (next update expected in Q3)🥳 genomes.atcc.org #genomics #microbiology #bioinformatics #genomeassemblies #genomeannotations

Does anyone know if H5N1 has been identified in dry milk cows? It would perhaps clear up routes of transmission, since dry cows have the same anatomy but are not producing milk, thereby are not having the killers placed on them.
