I think Jeremy may need to work on his similes. I’m not sure you can get off and on an escalator whenever you want - not without doing yourself a mischief. And Labour’s education policy is pretty reckless too - abolishing Ofsted so children are less safe and schools lose support

I see education like an escalator running alongside you throughout life, that you can get on and off whenever you want. That's why I’d rather give a break to the worker who wants to learn, than a tax break to the billionaire who wants for nothing.
