This exam & its results say nothing about your ability to advocate, your intelligence, or your worth. We know how tough the next day will be. We are here for you through it all. Whatever happens, be gentle to yourself & know you are not alone. Our DMs are always open. 2/2
Reminder that the hearing is tonight if you’re interested in attending and/or speaking!

Hey, ummm academic lawtwitter, this is gonna get uncomfortable, but we really, really, really need to address the way that law schools elevate and embolden white supremacist students by treating their overt racism as intellectual discourse.
Re-hauling the bar exam is long overdue. We’ve been saying this for months. @NCBEX should be reaching out to advocates to develop a truly equitable path to licensure.

16 practicing attorneys took a simulated MBE and all failed.
The bar exam doesn’t test competency. Data doesn’t lie.

To my newest class of colleagues in this profession:
All of you give me so much hope for the future. You have no idea. I’m seeing so many “I passed the bar! Now abolish it” tweets. This cultural shift will define the future of our profession and it is bright.
Thank you.

We are thinking of our fellow Maryland examinees on the eve of results. Whatever happens tomorrow remember this: You were presented with the unimaginable. You took the bar exam during a pandemic in a foreign, never tested before, format. 1/2
