Really great statement
El-Sayed: At the end of the day, I actually don't think about Haley Stevens. Because you know what? I'm just less interested in the politics of it all than I am in the policy of it all…
If you are somebody who believes that we should stand up to hate, and you have watched this last campaign, I think we probably would not want to support Mike Rogers and Donald Trump and JD Vance. If you're somebody who believes that we need more health care, not less than you probably don't want to vote for the guy who voted to raise prescription drug prices or keep them high 19 times and takes money from big pharma and big insurance. If you're somebody who believes in public education, you probably do not want to support the guy who architected the initial legislation in 1999 that ended up stripping local control from Detroit public schools and the local community. If you're somebody who believes that you should have a right to a union, you probably don't want to support the guy who busts unions. So I'm just saying that the principles that we believe in as Democrats are really quite clear. I stand for all of them.
youtu.be/mWwbHHMO6Ak. Another great cover of a classic Philly song by In The Pocket. My brother in law Wally Smith on the keyboards!

And then came CLAMPDOWN.
Philadelphia, May 30, 2026.
Bruce & The E Street Band tearing into The Clash — a song about power, conformity and the machinery that eventually puts people in line.
In this set, its place was no accident.
War → Born in the U.S.A. → Death to My Hometown → Clampdown.

Ossoff: While the sailors on the Lincoln fight his war, while he fruitlessly drains our munitions and oil reserves, the president sleeps through his meetings. He golfs and trades stocks. So he doesn’t want to do the job. He wants to build his ballroom and travel with Natalie on their apparently defenseless flying palace gifted by the Emir of Qatar.

Good Job Ossoff.
It’s humiliating and these guys will happily humiliate themselves to avoid making the toddler, Fat Donald, throw a tantrum.
History will be brutal to them
Happy 4th of July! WXPN’s Philly 250 is a great soundtrack for our country’s birthday. Thank you ‘XPN!@wxpnfm

“That’s a betrayal,” Children’s Village CEO Jeremy Christopher Kohomban says about Mamdani admin potentially delaying payments to nonprofits due to low cash reserves - per big scoop by @MelissaRusso4NY.
That’s the talk of City & State and NYN Media’s Nonprofit OpCon today.
This is insane. NJ Transit has absolutely no concern for the daily commuters who use its trains. That was clearly evident during the Portal Bridge month and now this decision. Gov Sherrill needs to put commuters on the NJT board so someone can hold the system accountable.

What a great show by Peter Wolf and the Midnight Travelers at City Winery in NYC. Peter was in great form and the band could not have been better. Thank you gentlemen! @PeterWolf169098

I am incredibly honored to receive the endorsement of @NYHTC!
HTC represents workers in more than 300 hotels and other related businesses. These workers are the backbone of one of our city's most vital industries and the benefits, and protections that HTC fights for don't just support individual workers, they allow families to build lives of meaning and stability. When working people have quality jobs with real benefits, our whole city thrives. I look forward to supporting their members in Albany and in their union's upcoming industry-wide renegotiations in NYC.

So excited to have our intrepid Manhattan BP @bradhoylman on Team Ruskay. He's led countless progressive pushes in Albany and knows what it takes to win important fights.

Today is Election Day in NJ-11! Please get out there and vote for Tom @Malinowski so he can work with me again in Congress to take on Trump's corruption and lawlessness. Tom is a tested public servant who has shown real courage. And at a time when courage is the scarcest resource in all of Congress, we need leaders like Tom stepping up for us.

Congratulations to our President and CEO, Stanley Richards, on his historic appointment by @NYCMayor Zohran Mamdani as the first formerly incarcerated Commissioner of the New York City Department of Correction. Commissioner Richards has drawn on his lived experience to lead The Fortune Society with empathy, integrity, and dignity. We are proud that he will carry this legacy into his new role, where he will focus on improving safety, closing Rikers Island, and ensuring the Department of Correction fulfills its core responsibility to care for people in custody while supporting the staff who serve them.

Brendan Gill's history of misogyny and problematic behaviors are not a secret. Yet a number of New Jersey politicians have endorsed him anyway.
Here's @tomamoran with a reminder of what these Brendan Gill endorsers think is acceptable.

The attacks on Tom @Malinowski are disgraceful and utterly inaccurate.
New Jersey is not going to fall for this kind of nonsense.
Special interest groups are attacking @Malinowski because he's not a rubber stamp. He's fought against ICE, stood up to Trump, and has the experience we need in this national emergency. Vote for Tom on Thursday, February 5th.
