Three years after October 7, 2023, what have protests in the West achieved for Palestine? Has raising awareness translated into real policy changes? Can real policy changes be achieved through peaceful protest alone? ■ These questions aren't meant to be defeatist, but rather, necessary to ask for an international movement interested in stopping the genocide and liberating Palestine.

Intelligence must draw on memory. The mind must not simply compile data — as an algorithm now does more quickly than we can — but recall lived experiences, which contain depths of meaning that only the human soul can recognize, and connect more deeply with the goodness of these experiences. Everything that is good begins “with the Spirit” and thus possesses a breath, a dynamism and a sense of communion that, once experienced, are engraved upon the heart. vatican.va/content/leo-xiv/e…

We must demand that Yuval Abraham and Rachel Szor immediately release the names of every soldier to whom they granted confidentiality in their documentary NAZA while documenting admissions of war crimes. There is something fundamentally perverse about creating films and journalism centered on Israeli soldiers confessing to atrocities against Palestinians while simultaneously protecting those soldiers from identification and potential accountability. Palestinian suffering cannot simply become material through which Israeli filmmakers interrogate their own society, generate discourse, win acclaim, or invite audiences to contemplate the psychology of the perpetrators. These testimonies contain admissions of war crimes. The question cannot end with what these soldiers said or how their confessions made an audience feel. The question is what accountability follows. Otherwise, Palestinian suffering is once again transformed into spectacle, while the people responsible for inflicting it remain protected.

One of the biggest successes of imperialist propaganda was making imperialism invisible to western audiences. Hating Russia, Iran, China and the DPRK is considered a humanitarian stance, instead of belligerent chauvinism that serves western capital.

Love that the "giant" Mao head is still smaller than Drew's fat fucking loaf.
I still have a giant Chairman Mao head statue in my house. I originally bought it to dynamite it for a YouTube video but I can’t legally blow it up in Australia so I don’t know what to do with it. I just keep it in my garage covered in a tarp.

Like if someone was an open Neo-Nazi but was supporting a handful of populist policies a lot of folks would rightfully oppose them and yet we talk about, say, LA mayors race, and all the sudden the Zionism is just not disqualifying and I think that’s very telling

I said this about AI well over a year ago. Using it to diagnose and fire people with medical conditions so they lose their insurance AND their income is somehow even more heartless and evil than I’d predicted.
Meta used AI to target workers with medical conditions for layoffs, according to a new lawsuit. Twenty-six former Meta employees are suing, accusing the company of using AI that disproportionately targeted people with disabilities or workers who took medical leave in selecting people for mass layoffs. reuters.com/world/meta-used-…

If you're a veteran on the left we shouldn't know about it. Keep it quiet and stop using it as a status that you feel should amplify your voice. Have some shame

Do gaming addicts deserve prison? It’s very possible. Video games are the reason for many social ills. Eventually will come the ‘Time of Cruel Awakening’ when holy men wield hammers and bust into homes smashing gaming PCs and Nintendo console. Even GameCube will be smashed.

If the left doesn't come up w a real explanation for the grip that Israel has on US politics, then the public will gravitate to idiots like Fuentes. Cry about "antisemitism" at your own peril.

Joe Biden and his administration were so committed to slaughtering Palestinian children, they let the Sudanese be slaughtered too. The Democrats clapped along.
Rep. Sara Jacobs reveals that the Biden administration could have forced the UAE to end the genocide in Sudan, but the US and Israel needed the Emiratis' cooperation in order to continue doing the genocide in Gaza.

Quand t'entends l'humanité des discours des communistes du 20eme siècle, tu comprends pourquoi les capitalistes ont eu besoin de les repeindre en dictateurs sanguinaires pour les discréditer.
