As I get older, the more stories I hear, the clearer it becomes how finite the prime grind years are/ were.
Lot of uncertainty in the world rn, but my advice would always be to anyone in their 20s with an opportunity, lock in and make it count.
Blink and the years are gone.

Mike Ditka was scheduled to sing the seventh inning stretch on July 5th, 1998. This was the year that Harry Caray died and the “guest conductor” was new at Wrigley Field. Ditka got stuck in traffic and was running late. By the time the top of the seventh ended, Ditka was still not there and Steve Stone and Chip Caray stalled for time. Finally Ditka busts into the press box, grabs the mic, and screams Take Me Out To The Ball Game in twenty two seconds! Organist Gary Pressy could barely keep up! The crowd roared with approval! R.I.P. Mike Ditka

Finally, after 14 months of uncertainty, my fix to restore the 100% tax deduction for gambling losses has been passed out of committee.
I was the first Member of Congress to recognize this injustice when I introduced my provision to correct it on July 7, 2025. Since then, I have amplified this issue nationally and brought it to the attention of my colleagues, including members of @WaysandMeansGOP.
Now it is time for us to push this commonsense solution to the House floor, to the Senate, and finally to the President’s desk. I won’t stop fighting until we get this over the finish line.

Very pleased to see that my gambling loss tax deduction fix has finally been included in a tax package. I encourage my colleagues to push it through @WaysandMeansGOP this week as quickly as possible.

Good overview of the gambling tax rule that has went in effect this year.
It is insane, unfair, senseless, and all kinds of other adjectives. Well placed people have told me it will go away. But they’ve been telling me that for a year and it is still there.

So the Dems stole the election in 2020 while Trump was President and had all the power, but didn’t steal it in 2024 when they had the power? You’d have to be mentally challenged to actually believe that. No wonder he’s taking so many cognitive tests.

New: UFC President Dana White has sent a letter to President Donald Trump asking him to help reverse the 90 percent limit on gambling loss deductions for US taxpayers that became law last year.
The issue has been a concern for both bettors and the gambling industry itself.
