A Detroit sports-writing legend, Jack Berry, has died at 95. He started at UPI, moved to @freep, and finally to @detroitnews. He covered it all, including "Miracle on Ice" and Secretariat, but he made his mark in golf, which he called the "game for life."

'A horrible, great story': Barely a year after the Charlevoix boys golf team was in a horrific team-van crash -- miraculously, they all survived, but their coach and a player were badly hurt -- they won the state title. Is that Hallmark Channel on Line 1?

Had a blast making my @officialGAM debut. A T5 (afternoon wave) I believe gets us into the Greater Milwaukee Open next week… I’ll have to check. GAM does top-shelf work, by the way. Become a member. It gets ya a handicap and supports youth golf.
