I've spent a lifetime wondering why the Amiga "Insert Workbench" boot image looked kinda wonky, as I always assumed it was hand-drawn pixel art.
Turns out it's actually a series of vector drawing instructions. Incredible. They take up just 412 bytes in the ROM. (via stevenf)
