The arrogance of this unelected legislator lecturing a trade unionist, dripping with condescension - “the rights you imagine (or, more likely, have been briefed about)”. The assumption is clear: working people only disagree with her because they’re too thick to understand. – at City of London, London

Coyle handing the Greens the easiest dunk imaginable. No one is talking about whether the Lib Dems and Greens, natural bedfellows, after all, actually have the right ideas for Southwark. Instead, people are understandably stuck on what a numpty one of the local MPs is.

It’s one thing to disagree with a union’s decision to strike at a given time over a given dispute; quite another to question the right to strike itself. The govt has a genuinely strong record here, let’s not start unpicking it now.

2.7m workers get a pay rise today as the minimum wage rises. That’s ~£900 more a year on the NLW, and up to £1,500 for 18–20s. This follows the government changing the Low Pay Commission remit to factor in cost of living, sounds technical, but the impact is real.

GMB 🤝 GMB GMB@RCN members out supporting colleagues at the BMA today. BMA staff are on strike after being asked to accept a far weaker pay offer, while the BMA is verbose in criticising stronger deals for doctors. Fair pay shouldn’t stop at your own staff 🧵 @GMBLondonRegion – at London, England

The last Labour government rightly scrapped the archaic offence of sedition—because we actually believe in free speech. But when you see headlines like this, you can’t help but question the loyalty of some on the right to our country.

The bill explicitly states only adults aged 18+ can request assisted dying: "...is aged 18 or over at the time the person makes a first declaration" (Clause 1(1)(b)). It does not apply to children. I don't think it could be any clearer.

.@philipmurraylaw - much of your commentary on this has been reasoned and fair, but you really ought to delete this. It's fine to disagree without spreading misinformation.
