Let’s get it on the record now.
If there’s a sixty game lockout in ‘27 but your favorite team wins the World Series… will the World Series count?
We say yes! Of course!
If you say no, please leave the name of your team in the comments.

In case you missed it. #Dodgers
A book for baseball fans of a certain age - #Dodgers fans - ages 10 to 110.
“If you love baseball, if you love the Dodgers especially, then you’ll love this book. ‘Off Base with Howard Cole: The First 25 Years’ is a charming, fun and sometimes melancholy tour in the life of a ballclub, but also of a fan. I can’t wait for ‘The Second 25 Years.’”

I feel the want/need to say this one more time in this way
The idea that big free agents will suddenly flock to small markets just because of a salary floor and cap is an interesting theory.
It’s also wrong.
Pittsburgh will still be Pittsburgh. Cleveland will still be Cleveland. And so on.
Last time I said this some Pittsburgh people flipped out. A lot. See my comments if you wanna read it. Pretty nuts honestly. I liked Franco Harris & Troy Polamalu too!
A fairly well known Pittsburgh sports writer even went all Pittsburgh Chamber of Commerce mode in my comments. I’m sure Pitt is a nice town. I’ve never been. I look forward to seeing their stadium, it looks spectacular.
Listen, San Francisco has tried hard, and failed, to attract some very high profile Free Agents here recently too. For clear and obvious reasons, some people who have options will find better options than working in San Francisco.
This isn’t Fantasy Baseball or MLB The Show. Players should have more ability to get what the market will bear and play where they want.
It’s a game
A league
It’s competitive
Ownership groups negotiated and won the right to compete
To join the league
That’s not a ticket to win once every 30 years
That’s an opportunity to compete
So compete
Business is competitive
That’s a good thing
Winners compete
Losers cry about the rules
That’s it for now
One day when I’m dying I will ask to watch this video one more time 💔

Hard to be critical of any goaltending issues when the team can’t score more than one fucking goal a game.
Oh and Quinton Byfield…where are you at? A lot of flash off the ice with nothing to show for it on the ice. Wake up bud.

Tell me why we make the players salaries public but not the team revenues?
Seems pretty clear and obvious too me
Make the MLB owners open their books publicly!
No cap unless they do

Alright so what we are not going to do is pretend like the BREWERS are an underdog team in any sense of the word.
This is a perennial playoff team, at worst a top 3 team in the NL year over year, and not to mention THEY WERE THE 1 SEED

They also have a Cy Young, former MVP, platinum glover, multiple silver sluggers and the best record in ball two years in a row.
They gotta stop the underdog gimmick

Coping Astros fan, in defense of consensus dbag/cheater Josh Reddick, argues that 2017 rookie Teoscar Hernandez was as guilty as homegrown veteran all-star Jose Altuve for allowing the cheating to happen, when Hernandez played in just 1 game (0 PAs) for the Astros that year.

Vin Scully explaining the history of home plate. This is exactly the kind of topic that showed why Scully was different.
He could take something every baseball fan had looked at thousands of times and make you realize you had never really thought about where it came from.
The game could be happening in front of him, and he still found room for a history lesson that never felt like homework.
