🚨🚨🚨🚨My guide to voting on the judges in Arizona has just been updated to include Arizona Court of Appeals justices and the one Arizona Supreme Court justice up for election. LOTS of election fraud deniers to vote out! It's super disappointing to see how many were appointed by Ducey; while Ducey was a great governor in many ways, he also had his flaws and appointing RINO judges was one of them. If my former boss, Maricopa County Attorney Andrew Thomas, had won the gubernatorial race instead of Ducey in 2014, we'd be in great shape with judges. But nope, back then when Sheriff Joe Arpaio had massive influence, he endorsed Ducey after promising Andy he would stay neutral - that sealed the deal for Ducey. Will do the smaller county superior court judges next - can get to tomorrow. intellectualconservative.com…

Want to understand how propaganda works? Tomorrow, Netflix premieres The AI Doc starring Sam Altman, Dario Amodei, and also Reid Hoffman. 🙄 The topic? Impending doom about AI. The movie was launched by Sundance Festival in February. Yup. The Sundance Documentary Program where George Soros is the original architect and founding financial backer. The AI Doc received grants from Open Society, Ford Foundation, and MacArthur. It’s. A. Globalist. Op. Receipts. ⬇️

Guys, most defensive gun uses involve zero shots fired. It's hard to estimate, because victims often don't bother to report crimes that are deterred, but it could be 90% or more. Carry some kind of gun. If you think one cartridge is better & love to carry it, great. Just carry. (10mm is best mm tho.)
How anyone can get genuinely upset when learning somebody isn’t on the same pistol cartridge team is beyond me. Until another ballistically viable cartridge that is more cost effective and recoils less than 9mm hits the market, there should be no debate. unclezo.com/2024/11/04/9mm-v…

You miserable grifters. It was a landslide. There is zero evidence climate change played any role whatsoever. And Nepal could have used the billions USAID & the UN gave it to install cheap sensors and sirens but held “gender inclusion” workshops instead. xitter.cf/shellenberger/status/2…
"The climate disasters in Nepal are the essence of climate injustice. Those least responsible for climate change are the worst affected and the least equipped to recover," writes Sumnima Udas, a member of Parliament in Nepal. time.com/article/2026/09/02/…

The academic health centers are building single payer and no one will see it coming. They're using taxpayer funds to roll up practices and hospitals. What happens when it all goes wrong? The universities make deals with state politicians for more funding. And its all on the back of the taxpayer that's already contributing to DSH, GME, 340B, Medicaid, Medicare, their health benefits premiums, and now state taxes. The grift continues...
Dutch and others are doing important work exposing the monopoly power and corporate greed of academic health systems as they absorb local physician practices. Their control extends beyond medicine. Academic medical centers also monopolize biomedical science, which is what gives them their academic status. Their connections to a funding system that overwhelmingly directs money, infrastructure, and opportunity to them. Step outside of out line and doing science becomes nearly impossible because of the resources they control, just as practicing medicine independently increasingly is.

The wrong wife is hell.
I do eventually want to get married, God willing have a few kids But let me tell you: After a day of family law, when I come home to my son and parents, I think: This, but with a nice, pleasant, mentally stable woman And I’ll wait that out as long as it takes Because I want nothing to do with what my clients deal with

I have read up on the Clancy trial. My take home is that we must ban SSRIs immediately and imprison doctors who prescribe them.

The entire tech industry (save for Anthropic) has come out in favor of open source AI. So what happens next? Will Anthropic change its lobbying efforts? Not likely. Now the gaslighting begins: “Nobody is trying to ban open source.” “We just want to limit who can use it.” “We just want to limit who can contribute to it.” “We just want to limit how powerful those models can be.” “We just want to make sure the guardrails (we lobbied for) can’t be removed.” The net effect will be the same. They won’t stop until they kneecap open source. The rest of the industry needs to watch these guys like a hawk.

Hard reality: If pesticide and vax makers are not protected from liability, they will all -100%- eventually be brought before a jury of low-IQ nons and bankrupted. I am a real data scientist. The money to be stolen from manufacturers is more than ample to generate a flood of damning scientific papers that are total BS, but will give a jury of resentful nons the excuse they need. A society that wants heroic men must give up the joy of destroying them.

It’s that time of year again and here is the advice to the new doctors starting right now 👇
For the new residents … Welcome to the show. We are glad to have you, seriously, as the kids say, no cap, fr fr. 10 years out of fellowship, I have some thoughts. And advice, if you’ll let me. First, I, your humble correspondent am jaded, cynical, and grumpy. You should not give in to the existential angst of your attendings. Be open and hopeful and excited. It’s a guild of honorable professionals. And you’re part. It will be a good job and you’ll get to do a lot good, if you let yourself. Save any negative energy for later. Now? Optimism. Trust me on this point. Be honest. Never lie. “I don’t know that information but I will find out” will take you so much further than pretending you know but don’t, especially if I know or find out. I can’t trust you if I know you make things up. I can’t lengthen your leash if I can’t trust you. NEVER allow yourself that reputation even if for the moment you are embarrassed (or even chewed out). Get to know your fellow residents. You won’t be besties with all but you will be besties with a few. These are the people you’re going through “the stuff” with. Lean on each other. Support each other. Build each other up. Greave with each other when necessary. Laugh with each other. Normalize the occasional “liquid rounds” after work. Don’t get irritated when you cover for pregnant colleagues - celebrate with them. It is a zero sum game and the work has to get done. Don’t dump on others what you don’t want dumped on you. December to February is the worst. Dark going in. Dark coming home. Cold. Everyone is kind of grumpy. It’s really downhill starting in March. Hold onto that light at the end of the tunnel. Some days it will be one foot in front of the other. And that’s all you can do. And that’s fine. But don’t stop. Ever. Keep. Moving. Forward. Residency can easily be one long dirty bulk. Fight the urge to simply eat for comfort. It can be so easy to put on weight. Then is so hard to get it off and you’ll still be a resident trying to do it. But. Don’t starve yourself. Treat yourself every once in a while. Exercise when you can. Even if you’re tired. Sleep when you can. Get as much sleep as possible. You’ll have dreams you forgot to see a patient or write a note. It’s normal. Don’t buy a house. Resist the urge to get a dog. They can be hard to sell and you really don’t have the time respectively. Finally … there will come a time when you think that it’s all been one big mistake. Clearly a huge misunderstanding you are where you are because you think you’re not good enough for the job. I’m here to tell you that’s bullsh*t and don’t listen to that stuff. You’re not junk. You’re exactly where you’re supposed to be. Exactly. Experiencing the same stuff we all have. You’re not alone in your doubts. The doubts are just wrong and you’re going to be great. Seriously. Good luck out there. And always always always remember the dyspnea is cardiology’s problem. Clearly not pulmonary’s. (My DMs are always open any trainee who wants to vent or ask for advice). Much love. It’s going to be really cool.

Tech bros on X took the false positive and gave it mood lighting. Scan a healthy person. Find a harmless shadow. Call it early detection. Sell the follow-up. Repeat until the customer dies or the venture fund exits. Scans do not disrupt medicine, they do industrialize anxiety.

Seven Things This 63 Year Old Surgeon Would Tell My 40-Year-Old Self I am 63 now, and I spend my days as an orthopedic surgeon watching how people's earlier choices show up in their bodies decades later. I see it in my college friends, high school buddies, and patients that I have known for 20+ years. If I could sit across from myself at 40, here is what I would want that man to understand. None of what follows is complicated, and all of it compounds over the decades… either against you… or in your favor. You are largely in control.

Healthcare founders keep pitching waste reduction to the people whose paycheck is the waste. That is why most of them die. They build something useful. Then they sell it to the incumbent whose margin depends on the problem staying alive. The incumbent moves slow on purpose. Slow protects the number on the spreadsheet you came to erase. Your demo becomes a threat the second it works. The founders who win understand this: • You are not selling innovation. • You are selling against someone’s existing profit pool. Price accordingly.

If we passed a law that medications could only be sold for cash out of pocket (no insurance, no subsidies, no coupons, no Medicare or Medicaid) then they would drop to the pricing of the consumer.
