It's been a good week for Putin. In recent days, Trump has: * Struck a diesel deal lifting some sanctions * Restricted Starshield for Ukraine * Cut intel warnings of Russian missile launches against Ukraine for several days * Canceled Lindsey Graham sanctions * Demanded Ukraine dump Zelensky * Absolved Russia for helping Iran fight the US * Pushed Europe to resume buying Russian gas

Trump is leaning into the idea that Russia isn’t a bad actor here. He is telling the majority in this Congress that despite the strong bipartisan consensus to punish Russia for its crimes against Ukraine, Europe and democracy itself, he doesn’t care what the other branch of govt thinks. Someday, somebody in Congress is going to discover, their branch has more Constitutional power than POTUS.

Trump: My decision on Russia is a very simple one. I don't want to do anything that will drive, foolishly, Russia away from the bargaining table. Russia is doing very little, if anything, to help the Islamic Republic of Iran, compared to what they could be doing. Zelenskyy is using Diesel Refineries in Russia as a target, knowing that these attacks are seriously hurting the world diesel markets, including those in the United States. Farmers, ranchers, and businesses of all kinds are suffering greatly from this, but Russia is, nevertheless, sending, at a low price, millions of barrels of diesel to the World. Zelenskyy doesn't care, and frankly, with all of the money that Europe is famously giving him, and that Crooked Joe Biden gave him in the past, he doesn't want to end this war, and probably never did. He could have made a better deal two years ago than he can now. His country is in shambles, a large portion of his land is lost, his oceans and seas are gone, and his male population is low, wounded, and/or dead. I WANT THIS WAR END!

As inflation hits a 4-month high and the Iran war keeps driving up gas prices, Trump unveils his big plan with the midterms two weeks away: a "World Class Championship Golf Course" in D.C. Work starts Nov. 15, closing a public course for about 15 months, he says.

Trump is closing strong: 1. Hire unqualified press secretary who doesn't last a week 2. Announce public execution, then walk it back 3. Conduct pre-dawn raid on opposition congresswoman over paperwork from 1995 while allowing your crooked Ambassador to Greece to resign without charges 4. Float possibility of using "Mother Of All Bombs" in your unpopular war (that you've previously declared already "won" on many occasions) 5. Cut a too-little/too late/possibly-illegal deal to import Russian diesel to offset negative effects of said war 6. Get caught secretly raising $333 million from corporations and billionaires for your White House ballroom, including companies doing major business with your administration 7. Mock a woman wearing a “Release the Epstein Files” shirt while she gets punched at your rally 8. Preemptively blame your outgoing senator for a Texas Senate seat you haven’t lost yet 9. Use a San Antonio rally, with diesel at $6.28 a gallon, to renew your demand that Roger Clemens be inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame

President Trump’s decision to lift sanctions on Russian fuel amidst Putin’s ongoing and brutal attacks on civilian targets in Ukraine makes no sense and is a betrayal of the legacy and leadership of the late Senator Lindsey Graham. While Ukraine fights for its survival, Putin’s war machine continues to prosecute his terrorist war on civilian populations and innocent Ukrainians are dying every day. Now, Instead of implementing the tough sanctions Lindsey Graham fought to his last breath to enact, President Trump has announced the United States is lifting sanctions on Russian energy, fueling the Putin’s war machine. As I saw firsthand in Ukraine last month, Putin is losing this war. Ukraine has fought the Russian military to a standstill and reinvented warfare with drones taking the fight into the heart of Russia. America should not be throwing a lifeline to Putin’s war machine. Now is the time to stand strong against Russian aggression as we did during the first Trump administration. Putin doesn’t want peace. Putin wants Ukraine. I have no doubt that if Putin overruns Ukraine, it will only be a matter of time until Russia’s military crosses a border that our troops will have to deal with him. America is the Leader of the Free World. For our National Security, for the security of our Allies in Europe including Ukraine, President Trump should rescind this deal immediately and return to the strong policies of our four years in the White House; impose harsh sanctions on any nation purchasing Russian energy and work with our allies to ensure Ukraine has the military support it needs to repel and defeat this Russian invasion once and for all. Trump threatened the EU to get them to draw down 100 million barrels of oil from their reserves because of the high gas and diesel prices his war has caused. Trump reached an agreement with Putin for Russia to sell 4 million tons of diesel, bypassing sanctions, to try to ease diesel prices, which remain over $6 a gallon on average. This will help Putin fund his war crimes. Trump announced a diesel tax deferral to try to temporarily ease the burden of high diesel prices in the US. The result: the average price of a gallon of diesel increased today. Trump created a mess with his pointless war in Iran, but he won't end the war because it would require him to admit defeat. So he threatens allies, makes deals with dictators, and creates a mess of tax revenue when America has a nearly $2 trillion deficit. Trump isn't a leader. He is a catastrophe.
