Wonderful to be in Saskatoon for the Diocesan Congress last week. Together, we explored how parish renewal can help more people encounter Jesus and grow as disciples. A special thank you to Bishop Mark Hagemoen for welcoming us into his diocese, and to everyone who joined us! 📷: Kiply Yaworski @saskatooncath

Last week, we had the joy of gathering in Texas with priests and lay leaders from 12 missional parishes across the US. Grateful for these inspiring leaders, their commitment to mission, and the opportunity to come alongside them as they lead disciple-making parishes.

🇦🇺 At Renewed & Sent in Australia, hundreds of priests and parish leaders gathered to pray, learn, and be equipped to lead their communities from maintenance to mission. Now, the real fruit begins to unfold in the parishes they serve, the people they lead, and the lives yet to encounter Jesus. 🎥 Take a look back at these powerful moments. youtube.com/watch?v=lQAs6vkL…

Renewed & Sent has come to a close, but the work of renewal continues in every parish represented here. Thanks to every leader who came ready to pray, learn, wrestle with big questions, and return home ready to take their next step. @DRAustralasia

Glad to be in Wollongong Diocese for a @DRAustralasia conference. When clergy multiply their leadership by empowering others, their influence grows, not diminishes. Sharing responsibility doesn’t dilute leadership - it amplifies it. @DivReno

A healthy parish bears fruit. And that fruit always turns outward. Parish renewal isn’t quick or easy. But there are few things more beautiful than seeing a parish come alive — becoming a community where people encounter the living God, lives are changed, and the mission of Jesus begins to overflow into the world.

As Fr. John approached retirement, he didn’t know what the future would hold for St. Agnes Parish. So he and his parish began asking a bigger question: How do we become the parish God is calling us to be? The answer changed more than he expected. Read Fr. John’s story: divinerenovation.org/blog/tr…

Pierogies kept the parish afloat — but mission and evangelization brought it to life. Watch the story of Rev. Mykhailo Ozorovych and the missionary renewal at Holy Eucharist Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral in New Westminster, BC. 🇨🇦

Last week, we had the joy of spending two days in Christchurch with priests and parish teams from across New Zealand, talking discipleship, leadership, and parish renewal. Grateful to do it alongside our friends at the Diocese of Christchurch — and even more grateful for the leaders doing the real work in their parishes.

A renewed parish is more than a busy parish. It is a community where people encounter Jesus, are transformed by him, and begin to take up his mission in the world. One parish, fully alive in Christ, can have an impact far beyond its walls.

A parish comes alive when its people do. Not because everything is perfect, but because more and more people are encountering Jesus, growing as disciples, and embracing their part in the mission of the Church. That’s when renewal starts to become visible.

“We are scrambling to keep up. We have never been more alive.” For Fr Simon, those words would have been hard to imagine a decade ago. Today, his parish is living the kind of missionary fruit he once wasn’t sure was possible. Read the story: divinerenovation.org/blog/we…

A vibrant parish is not the finish line. Our mission is bigger: to form missionary disciples who know Jesus, live the Gospel, and help others encounter Him. Everything else flows from there.

Have we misunderstood “maintenance to mission”? Fr. James explains what it means — and why that distinction matters more than ever. 📖 Get your copy of Divine Renovation: 10th Anniversary Edition at divinerenovation.org/books
