#DivBookFest was amazing! Thank you to @katcho, the organizers and volunteers, and all the readers who came. What an honor it was to be a part of the first Chicago festival celebrating diverse books and authors. ♥️

had the most amazing time meeting authors & attending panels @DivBookFest!! so excited I got books signed by @andthisjustin, @Claribel_Ortega, @axieoh & @aidenschmaiden. I didn’t have anything like this growing up, and for it to be focused on diverse voices was such a joy ♥️

Perhaps one of the best tweets about #divbookfest, though we have no comment on the claim that we were purposefully making readers exercise...

Things overheard at #DivBookFest “I love that everything is either on the 4th floor or in the basement. They said ‘oh you like reading you’re gonna need this exercise.”

@aidenschmaiden said he creates characters first, jokes second and then plot and honestly we see it, we love it and appreciate it! Jokes are always 10/10 never fails to make me laugh! #DivBookFest

@DivBookFest is basically a gathering of all of the delightful queer teens I love working with at the library and it is such an amazing scene to behold. So many pronoun pins, colorful hairstyles, and cool tote bags. I wish I had this as a teen.
