Fascism and eugenics historically follow pandemics. Disabled folks been trying to tell the world. What did we get? We got told to shut up and get infected. Hard pass.
Again, you may want to look up the history of societies post 1918 flu pandemic.

Literally this. I want to support my local libraries so badly There’s databases I can only access for free if I use a computer at the NYPL But the air isn’t clean and people aren’t masking so I stay home This is how 1 form of community abandonment leads to others

I wish people were more angry about ableism than they were about being called ableist.

Love to everyone who can’t march but still shows up for Palestine. Whether it be staying at home when you’re symptomatic, resting from the grief, the daily inaccessibility of the state and its exclusions of certain bodies, or the expense of rallies/taking the day off work. Love.

I have been speaking privately with other ADA experts about what fighting mask bans might look like *if* they are implemented & it's scary. So, I wanted to share three quick points that have stood out as helpful to know if you're agitating against existing or new mask bans 🧵

📣📚🎉 It’s official!! I signed a contract to edit my third & final anthology in a trilogy, DISABILITY VULNERABILITY! I can’t wait to do a deep dive on how precarious disabled life is in an ableist world. Many thanks to my agent @jlkardon & editor @annakirgo

Chronically ill people cannot predict how their illness will affect them. We don’t know how we will feel later. I don’t care if I could do something five minutes ago. If I say I can’t now, I mean it.

Can we talk about how both Palestinian and Native graduates are having their decorated regalia taken away for representing their people
Our little graduate got her graduation hat taken away, so she pinned the Palestinian flag on the inside of her robe and opened it in the middle of the stage

Hey non-disabled people, can you stop grabbing our wheelchairs, rollators and other accessibility aids?? Don't touch us, do you just go up to strangers and touch them? What is the point of even grabbing someone's chair?? Stop this, it's so easy not to grab someone's aids.
A man jumped a railing & grabbed me today, as i was heading in to licensing. He was a stranger. The person I was with was yelling "No!" at him but was 3m away & couldn't block him. I screamed "Let me go!" & "Get your fking hands off me!" several times at full theatre volume. 1/

The flour massacre, the tents massacre, the hospital massacre, the refugee camp massacre, the ‘safe corridor’ massacre, the endless massacres, in homes, on the streets, in tents, on foot— eight months of massacre after massacre after massacre.
